  3. Just had a quick look at these before I went work, look good. Wouldn't save me any weight but a higher comfort level. I enjoy his tent testing vids. Come across these the other day , check out Zenbivy. It's a all in one sleep system. A bit too heavy for me but do look a good night kip. I watched a couple of vids and looked at there web site. A novel idea.
  4. Luther . Never watched the TV series as I don’t watch telly. But I I thought this was half decent. So as a film worth a watch

  7. I read his autobiography, really enjoyed it a cracking read. And fair play to him, worked dam hard to get were he has got in life.
  8. Stop paying mine 9 years ago. I still get letters saying court proceedings are under way and they get filed in log burner. It's been some years since a plonker knocked on the door and challenged me, but they get delt with and shown on there way. In fact 9 years on the letters just say to the house holder and they don't even know my name despite the fact I've owned the house for 20years. The TV licence thing is built on scaremongering. To add all these threatening letters have never had any impact on my credit score which is very good. Trust me fec em and just stop paying and funding a huge non
  9. My gut feeling about him is, I don't take to him. Somethings don't sit right. Especially a grown fella like him still living in his man's back bedroom lol
  10. Yeah pal and changed his second name to Hatchet , lol the melt
  11. Exactly, hatchet is a complete bell end
  12. Have you read Grass by Phill Sparrowhawk ? It would be right up your street. I've read it twice now, was a belting read.
  13. Just watched full fight, am not a decca fan. But he did let Robbie up a few times when I think he could of took his opportunity. I certainly don't think it was a clear cut win for Robbie
  14. Did you see the Robbie Brown fight with Decca ? Only seen clips tbh. But I've been watching a few of Robbie Brown's fights
  15. Had one of these myself as well for years , proper good little stove for the dollar. It's just that my others pack down smaller and fit in a 750ml and 450ml titanium pot and weigh less again . Food for thought .
  16. I just use meths from pound shop or bio ethanol. Av a look at des cattys stoves on Etsy or Google speedster stoves both dead cheap for just the burner. Also I like proper food a steak or burger or take a chilli in a zip lock freezer bag. Them summit meals are a rip off, some are a tenner a pop. And eating food out of a foil bag. Eek that I want a nice glass of red and a steak or a gourmet burger lol. Don't get my wrong I've ad them bags and are convenient, but I just prefer proper food and enjoying cooking it in the hills taking my time and away from the hustle n bustle of life work ect. Jus
  17. And my knock off version of xboil is this cheap wind guard off fleabay for £5.99 plus a cheap alcohol stove about a fiver from speedster stoves and 2 mini titanium tent stakes for pot stands. I will say I think the xboil is slightly better in the wind. But this for £12 and half the weight of my jetboil ain't too bad
  18. The xboil with fuel is 269 grams so considerably liter
  19. Just got scales out and my jet boil with arf can of gas is 599grams
  20. Mr Rummager have you considered alcohol stoves ? The older I get and the more fecked my knees are am constantly lightening my kit and pack weight. At the moment am using an x boil, but I also have a eBay knock off that cost me about £11 to build. I have more than halfed the weight of my jetboil and it includes fuel. Slower to cook on but am in no rush just chilling and taking in the views so don't mind. Am just up and off out to work. But when I get home later will take some pics of the set ups and what it is on scales. I find myself more and more looking at ultralight options these days. I've
