  1. This is the dam in her younger days.If you look at the pictures I posted in the thread terrierwork in the US.Those pics are this pups family.Half mates, parents, aunts and uncles.
  2. Na nothing else. Its fairly rare most terriers aren't effected.I have noticed the terriers who do get it usually had just been sick.So I have an opinion that it takes a weakened immune system to be susceptible. If a terrier isn't screaming in the kennel then I generally won't take them digging.
  3. To be honest it hit me like a ton of bricks.Made me forget I was in the middle of a tornado.
  4. It comes from a protein in raccoon saliva. So its usually coonhounds who get it.The sire to the pup had it twice fully paralyzed.Ciuld only blink and swallow.I built him a swing to hold him up so his toes would barely touch the ground. You have to move their legs for them for a month or so.Its actually one of the worst things I have ever encountered.
  5. The disease is called coonhound paralysis but terriers get it too.
  6. Its all terrier as far as I know lol. There is some white terrier in the ped.
  7. This pup is a week old this morning .Last night we had a surprise tornado to come through.I took this pup off the bitch during the storm as sometimes a bitch will kill a pup during a tornado from anxiety. As this is the only pup I couldn’t risk it.As I sat holding this pup I began to think of the time her mother caught the coon in the middle of the river. Then I remembered when this pups sire had coonhound paralysis and my wife stayed with him and taught him to walk again.Wife nearly shot me for that one.As the storm raged outside I thought about this pups grand mother and digging to her w
  8. I watched a movie last night called Till Death with Megan Fox.For the first 30 minutes I wanted to stop it but then it became a good movie.Worth a watch.
  9. A close family member had their Facebook account hacked. After alot of research it was linked back to a business competitor. If I was a betting man I would say that your wife's hobby business might be upsetting a competitor.Just my opinion.
  10. As far as the Muslims i prefer to use an old southern expression "Bless their hearts" Which when translated to Queens English means F@ck em in the neck.
  11. To all the men mentioned here who served in Afghanistan. Thank you for your service. I have two teenage daughters who sleep safely every night due to your sacrifice. I owe each one of you a debt I can't repay.
  12. I read somewhere one time that a dog is the only animal who will starve by his owners side instead of leaving. This has always stuck with me.
  13. I like the pictures @Wolfdog91 but be careful.Been eat up a few times.Dont trust them coons.Im sure you already know this but they can bite hard.I would hate for you to lose a finger.Looking at your pictures made old scars on my hand hurt again.?
  14. No the older generation that came through the depression survived on possum. They would catch the possum and put him in a cage and feed him corn for a few days to clean the possums system out as they mostly eat dead things. Then they roast the possum with sweet potatoes. I'm glad I didn't have to eat it.
  15. I was just being a smart ass.I do rate Catahoulas. My great grandfather fed his family with possums from these dogs. I think the first time i made a breeding it was Catahoula. There is good catahoulas but I would recommend getting them from a hunter. You dont want a Catahoula from a peddler or from someone who competes in hog Bay competition. It needs to be from a hunter.Catahoulas are generally one person dogs. They generally bite strangers or run from them. No offense to anyone but I wouldn't waste my time adding it to lurchers. A good gritty foxhou
  16. I have Catahoula pups for sale. They can catch a hog, whoop an elephant,Chase a lion across the desert for days. They prefer a diet of fresh immigrants. They will attack the mother in law, brother in-law and the other law. 10,000 Confederate dollars.Firm. Today only while supplies last.
  17. R.i.p. Dusty I been singing this en ever since I heard.
  18. Looks like fun @NEWKID Do yall use any depth finders or electronic equipment on your kayaks to find places to fish?
  19. This is a very important topic in my opinion.Growing up in Alabama you're surrounded by creeks and rivers. It seems every summer a couple drown.20 kayakers had to be rescued in a flood last week.I was kayak fishing 10 miles from there at the same exact time. I have stomped the rivers swimming ,hunting and fishing most of my life.Still alive but I dont mix rivers and alcohol. This past February me and a buddy went lamping from his jon boat.It has a motor thats been tinkered with and can go faster than it should.Roughly 40 mph.Which is too fast at night in the swamp. We have done th
  20. You are right I should explain a little better. There is certified jagdterriers who are great retrievers and bloodtrailers who i have seen trained to a high degree. The good hogdogs and digging dogs were generally uncertified. absolute lunatics who couldn't be released without a shocking collar and garmin tracker.Different dogs bred for different purposes. ?
  21. A Ukrainian brought a certified jag here to hunt one night for hog.The only thing the dog found was a neighbors cow and clamped down on its nose.? The certifications they do doesn't make it a good hogdog or digging dog. I have been disappointed by a few "certified" jagterriers I have seen.
  22. I know 15 years ago they had to pass to be bred from and registered. As I have found with most breeds some of the best ones wasn't registered.
