    Brexit

Crumbs, so where are we going now, the last deal was BS but WE MUST LEAVE! I must be missing something, I don't understand why we are still crawling to the EU. Were leaving, get used to it, we are happy to trade with you but...……………..!
  2. There are those that like the .20 and say it gives you the best of both worlds (.177 & .22). Then there are the honest ones who accept it doesn't fly as fast/flat as the .177 and doesn't hit as hard as the .22! No doubt the .20 does work for some, ATB to them!
  3. Ok, I've heard and read about the 42g, even watched the Winchester Vid on the stuff, but what in the real world do you (anyone) think of it? How does it fly, does it hit harder, does anyone actually notice any difference from the 40g?????? Cheers
  4. So your ammo miraculously rises circa 1.5 inches from barrel to scope centre in 18 yards, instantly levels and stay exactly level out to 127 Yards! You've just re written the Laws of Physics!
  5. What does it do in the middle of those two distances, what ammo is that?
  6. I must be missing something. What exactly at you saying? You seem to be suggesting between 18-127 yards your .22lr shoots straight, there is no ammo of any calibre I know of that does that, and certainly not .22lr.
  7. That's what I said! What does it do in the middle of those two distances, what ammo is that?
  8. Do you mean, with whatever ammo you use in your .22LR, the First Zero is 18 Yards, the True Zero is 127 yards and lord knows what's happening in the middle!? What ammo is that?
  9. As above, for general work 50-60 yards. If you only have one piece of land and sit in the same place all the time and your quarry is consistently 62 yards away (For example) zero at 62 yards!
  10. You are more than welcome to Slough as well....PLEASE!!!!
  11. I did like the Velocitors, even if they were tight to chamber, they were "reasonably" consistent and did hit hard, tiny HP just the same and hardly impressive expansion. As I've said before, not used HV in the .22LRs for years. Regardless of the consistency of the ammo itself, it seems to me the twist rate of the vast majority of .22lr suits the sub sonic better!
  12. That was the question, what do you do with them?
  13. Not tried the 42g yet, even after all the time they have been around. Used to use the 40g quite a lot, big HP expanded well!

    Paris riots

Despite the fact the UK seems to have a reputation for riots and worker dissent the French have always been a league above us in that area!
  15. Don't use any vices but exactly as you with shotguns and rifles on Bipod!
  16. Shot one of the Weihrauch springers many years ago, (about 18) and only the PCP since as far as I can recall. No argument they are well made and all well engineered, good luck to anyone using them!

    Early start

The rapid lives on, why on earth did Theoben screw up the business!?
  18. Evil buggers the Feral, good riddance!
  19. There was a time when "Made in China" was a derogatory term. They have made air rifles as long as I can remember and they used to be rubbish...No Longer! If they put there mind to it they are very capable, and to be honest I would more than consider one of their many copy cat cars as well...….
  20. There is a lot of stuff harder than lead that goes through rimfire and centrefire rifles and a darn sight faster as well, to be fair the odd barrel does wear out. Most lead free air gun pellets are an alloy and still relatively soft in comparison with your barrel!
  21. I do my best in these situations to stay as inconspicuous as possible, but this was a prime example of why I also advise the police, the Met in this case, of my actions for the night and get a reference from them, I don't want an Armed Response Team turning up!
  22. This school is double fenced...unreal …... it IS like a prison camp! The result is the gap gets overgrown and the fox love it! I much prefer to survey first but Google Earth does help, especially when its nearly 70 miles each way. I got seriously screwed on the way back last night as the Tate Street underpass was closed on the A 406 so the congestion was epic, even at 02.00 as was I coming home. And there are many here that envy those of us who do this for a living!
