  1. 16" Wheels. Tyres (factory fitted) that I have at the moment are 215 65 16 Bridgestone Dueler. There is also a 17" wheel fitted on some of the X-Trail range but I don't really want to change the wheels as well as the tyres. Cheers Deker

    S410

I have a .177 S410 and the heavier the pellet the less power it put's out on the cronograph.. the lighter pellet's give more ftlb.. Millet Millet That is very interesting. I've not had a .177 for about 20 years and to be honest I'm pretty sure it never went through a chrono. But I have to say that the heavier pellet always produces a small amout more power (ft lb) in my .22 PCP. Mine runs at around 26 ft lb and I use AA Field but when I use the Bisley Magnum I get about .5 ft lb more. I always assumed (actually never though about it) that the .177 would produce similar results.
  3. OK ....how much will you charge to make some for the Falcon. It's 8 shot, no springs and a lot simpler than these AA. These do look good....congrats!!!! Deker PS Fubar was a word commonly used back in the days when I worked for a living...is it the same?
  4. i couldnt see the barrel wearing out after 2000 rounds mate. i no someone that has shot over 4000 in his and its still as good as the day he had it he said. i no its a powerfull for a rimfire but i havent heard of a barrel wearing out on one. they get nowhere near as hot as a centrefire so i couldnt see one wearing out. and if it did it wear out which again i think it wouldnt it would wear out on one thats used at a range alot. if your friends just using it for hunting then you have no worrys. and just remember to boresnake it every 40 to 50 rounds. and rod it every couple of 100 or so
  5. With more and more people putting moderators on ther rimmy shot shell sales are going down. GMK are the CCI importers so if you can't get them from your dealer have a word with them. Deker
  6. name='Bagpuss' date='Dec 5 2007, 08:59 PM' post='358631' ...don't buy a fabarm! thanks for the help , but WHY? Ok...they tend to be Agricultural, unreliable and don't hold their value well. Always a difficult one this because no doubt loads of people will come back and say mine is great and never let me down (well maybe one or two might). It is a personal choice and by way of new guns there isn't really a BAD one out there, even a lot of what is coming out of Turkey offers excellent value for money these days, there are just some that are not as good as others.. If you
  7. Guntrader.co.uk The site is nowhere near as good as this but it does have a lot of guns for sale. Oh...and any help would be great...don't buy a fabarm!
  8. I have an ASE S5 on my .223 and it does help but it also screws up the balance. There are plenty out there and all work quite well, on the whole though they are not cheap, prices from about £160 (if you haggle) to £300. Is the gun screwcut, don't forget to factor in that cost and of course you need the FAC variation. Deker
  9. Very grateful for the responses and advice. I've been digging around to find suppliers and it seems that my AT tyre choice is more than a little limited due to the size of my wheels Cheers Deker
  10. Don't all start shouting at me this is my opinion only! PCP is the way forward, they will always be more accurate as there is absolutely no thump when you pull the trigger. They are already generally used by Gamekeepers and Vermin control. Shots per charge is improving all the time as valving and regulaters improve. You do need a bottle or pump though and of course they tend to be a lot more expensive than springers. Also a lot easier to FAC, but then again the shots per charge go down. Springers are a long, long, long way from being dead and burried. There are plenty of exce
  11. Unless you zero lots of guns from scratch or have plenty of cash I would not bother! I don't have any problem bore sighting my centrefires by eye down the barrel (the rimmy is easier). I start at about 100 yards, always get it close enough to land on an A4 sheet and then its very simple with just a couple of rounds to put it virtually spot on at almost any distance. You can do it quicker and easier with a bore sighter but once you have done it you will tend to only ever re zero by using a couple of rounds...no bore sighter will put you down the throat at 200-300 yards with the first
  12. 4 pages of responses and over 1200 viewings...certainly had some reaction.....got to be honest I have only read a bit but I suspect leon has it about right...after all the comments and input I would have thought it best to keep to Nissan spec and if in any doubt about anything (dipstick), a trip to a Nissan dealer may be in order. Hope all goes well. Deker
  13. I think you either missread or didn't get to the end of the line, what I said was:- The .243 kicks all right as it has its origins in the .308 case, but in simple terms you will find it a little harder than your .222 but it is certainly not a heavy kick. I think that is pretty accurate! You are making some incredible .243 home loads if they are like shooting an air gun . Cheers Deker
  14. They are noisy, uncomfortable, rattle, f*****g hopeless handling on the road, slow, thirsty, very basic and very expensive for what they are. On the plus side they have lots of torque, are one of, if not the best off road vehicle you can buy, easy to repair (loads of third party parts available), go on forever, hold their value and look the part! Don't rule out the 110. The latest version looks like a real tarts motor inside! If you spend a LOT of time off road well worthy of consideration...If you intend to spend most of your life ON Road, forget them! Deker
  15. Hello mate....It could be that you are a little ticked off with the recent change in the law that left out Roe with the .22 centrefire.....I know I certainly am. This of course leads people to the .243 in many cases for use on Charlie, right through to the Reds. This becomes a practical and financial decision for many and I believe it moves too far away from what is the right tool for the job because of this. The .243 kicks all right as it has its origins in the .308 case, but in simple terms you will find it a little harder than your .222 but it is certainly not a heavy kick. For
  16. Absolutely Ian, thats exactly what happened on Sunday, the ground looked hard and flat and green but within seconds the tyres were like slicks and all sign of the tread was gone! I'm a bit new to this Off Road tyre business, what sort of effect are these 50/50 likely to have on the road performance, noise, grip, ride comfort, tyre life etc? Cheers Deker
  17. Bit of a tarts motor I know but I've got one and I like it. I do 95% of my driving on road but this thing does see some serious off road as well. Road handling, performance, economy etc, etc on road is brilliant but.......off road its a complete %^&&^**$^%!!!!! I have sunk the thing twice having to be towed out of floorpan deep mud and on Sunday I nearly lost it again, I wondered into a field following a tractors tracks (they had not even churned up the grass) and even in 4lock you would not believe how pleased I was to get out alive! Now....... What Car, Drive, even Je
  18. BASC and the NSC at Bisley (probably a few other organisations as well) already try to look after and encourage the next generation. I would be happy to get involved and help. We all started somewhere, I followed from my father and now my 19 year old lad, (a complete natural with rifles and shotguns) is showing me how it should be done. (you have to let them beat you...in that fatherly way or they get upset) At least thats what I tell him!!! Anyway this is a good idea.......... and I don't want to put any dampers on it... but just consider the society we live in!!!!! This woul

  22. Outshooting I downloaded a rabbit distress call from this site then loaded it onto my mobile phone & it works great for getting charlie in its worth a try Rabbit ditress call [/i Cheers for this, I'll give it a try. The rabbt distress is something I have always tried to imitate myself over the years with varying levels of success! Deker
  23. I think we have just about done this to "death" but rest assured a heart shot is more than capable of killing a bunny with a 12 ft lb air rifle. With the right pellet and at the right distance, and if you miss all the ribs you may well find the pellet goes right through, coming to resting just under the skin the opposite side of the bunny. With this type of tool that is about the best shot you can make and imparts every bit of energy into the quarry! It's happened to me twice (you remember these things), you pick the bunny up and you can feel the pellet just under the skin! Cheers
  24. Very grateful for the info and pics chaps...I take it you all think this is a pretty fair bit of kit that works well, I have never had one before at all, so it has surprised me quite how many there seem to be on the market! I've sent a PM to Vermin Dropper to see if he still has them. Cheers!
  25. I'm after one...just sent a PM to Vermin Dropper. Seems that he has done a good job in supplying a lot of you.........what do you all think of the foxcaller....I mean, are you finding it succesful?? Cheers Deker
