http://www.weihrauch-sport.de/englisch/e_s...ite/e_index.htm Looks like they are available so get your local dealer to order one for you! Mind you, I wouldn't bother...the HW57 is a very fine tool for what it is but the AA S410 is another world!!

I'm off with the rimmy to track down some rabbit and fox.

What pump do you use, I've not used a pump for about 10 years, they were useless and exhausting then, so I had to buy a bottle....do I take it things have improved a bit Cheers Deker

Thats a good price for that stuff, costs me about £60 per 100. I'm using Wolf 55gHP at the moment and whilst I accept and agree grouping is about 1" worse with this stuff at 200yards it costs me £18 per 100! Barnaul 62gFMJ is about an inch off at 200yards as well but that costs me £14-£16 per 100. Wolf is an American company but both their ammo and Barnaul are made in the same factory in Russia, both are true .223REM as well, and not 5.56 military. Fortunately they both still shoot well for me, I won an internal shooting club competition at Bisley last time out with the Barnaul, ev

2 Days this has been up and already slipped 4 pages down the list. Thought I would bring it back to your attention as I'm sure there is someone out there desperate to accept my generous offer. Cheers Deker

Most of it has already been said but for a SGC you do not need any permissions and you do not need to be a member of any gun club. Unless you have a dodgy background or medical problems a SGC should be relatively straightforward. Specific references are asked for on the application....you do not need to supply a whole load of landowner references! For one or 2 shotguns you do not need a cabinet either but you must show ground anchor type security....frankly though forget that, because they will be expecting to see a cabinet on the home visit! www.air-arms.co.uk Best I can do....should help you, as far as I understand one is simply single shot the other has a magazine! Deker

I assume its a .22LR or the 17HMR.....Is it the VERY latest model with the set trigger. Not used the new one and heard mixed comments about the new trigger, but prior to that they were very fair tools at a pretty good price. Assuming you have the same model range there as we do in the UK of course!!! Deker

Take a look on the "Reloading Optics Ammo Accessories" the thread AMMO...I have listed a few cheap ammo suppliers. You can pay as little as 13p-14p per round for .223 but you can also pay a £1 or more per round. Price is obviously important to most people but you will have to find a round that suits you, the gun and the quarry and just hope it is nearer the bottom of the price range rather than the top! Baldie Don't want to start this all going again...Oh..and the letter is pretty good by the way, but did anyone ever get to the bottom of this shooting at night business? I've been shooting day and night for 35 or more years and don't know anything about night shooting written permissions! For many, although not all, I do have written permissions, but please don't tell me I've been breaking some night shooting law most of my life. Deker

F**k me, its good to see some sensible debate, I thought this would simply be a dead cert win for the .243! Deker

Cheers John...daft thing is I like the gun and it does shoot well, it shouldn't though according to all the worlds technical info and I want to know why! Anyway...a question for you, I spent about 6 hours in Dublin Airport a few years ago waiting for a connecting flight, that's the closest I have ever been....looking at your list no Grey Squirrel...is this a stupid question....have you got them out there? Also..is it correct you guys can have pistols but can't buy reloading stuff? I should know all this really but Wales is pretty much identical to England and I know the differe

Appreciate the comments and that is what I have found, although I have not put any 50g through it. I actually get good results with the ammo I am using 55gHP & 62gFMJ but I do not understand why, with a 1-8 twist all the formulas would suggest you need a real heavy bullet but they don't seem to do it for me. The whole thing has got me really confused which is why I asked GMK for advice...Sako/Tikka have made a decision based on information of some sort, I do not understand the big problem here, it would seem sensible and logical that they share that information with their customers so

I'd go along with most of that BUT.......22WMR is available up to nearly 350ft lb....I think it is a great fox calibre and I agree with 100yards (or so), but my view is 180 yards is pushing your luck! .243 is generally accepted for both fox and of course deer but the ammo is not cheap and you are unlikely to get if for deer these days unless you have done a DSC1 or you can show deer experience! Daft I know..."here you are, your .243 for fox, by the way you can't shoot deer with it until...." 222-223, no contest, 223 has the edge on power and ammo choice is wide varied and cheap, both

Can anyone please be a little more constructive and helpful here please...the following is an email conversation I have just had with GMK. Email TO GMK Help me out please. The Tikka T3 in .223 has a 1-8 twist. All the formulas I can find would lead me to think it should be nearer to 1-12. Don't get me wrong I accept it is done for a very good reason but I don't understand, flip, I have just checked Tikka site again and it lists the .223 with 1-8 and 1-12 twist!!! PLease, please help me to understand if there are two options now and why. Many thanks. GMK response Sako/

I had this problem with my lad a couple of years back, the only answer is to keep hunting on all the car insurance comparison web sites, or wait until you get older, or move to a cheaper insurance area or buy a very old and very low powered car! (Oh yes, or get a sex change, seems the girls are often cheaper than lads) Its all a pain, and there are not many good reasons for getting older, Insurance is the only one I can think of, my lad now pays about £1600 for his 9 year old escort and I pay just a bit over £200 for a brand new 4x4!

My lad joined on the Free under 19 business about 3 years ago and received absolutely NOTHING. Last year (2006) at the Game Fair I went on the CA stand with my lad (18 at the time), explained he had joined previously and heard nothing. We enrolled again and to this day have still heard absolutely nothing. Not impressed, it was important to know that if nothing else he was insured as he was out with me a lot. So... all I could suggest on my experience, is join almost any other organisation. Deker

Must be O/U, auto ejector, preferably multichoke, in full working order, still tight, 28 or 30", not too agricultural, don't care how old it is. Not to concerned about the woodwork as I want it for hard fieldwork. Oh yes........no more than £200 top price! There is one sitting in a cabinet somewhere you bought for the wife/girlfriend/lad/yourself that you never use anymore!!! Cheers Deker

What I know about Nightvision is that I can'f afford what I really want. This setup... which seems to bolt on the back of an existing scope........how on earth do you hold/shoot this gun without it taking your eye out, and even more so if it was on a bigger centrefire!

Could be genuine but I share the views of most here. Anyway, whats the problem with ROAD KILL, not many days I don't see the fox, badger, deer, rabbit, hedgehog, birds on the side of the road. A previous friend I USED to know; when I invited him to one of my "Game" BBQ's said he was a Road Kill vegetarian....f*****g h*ll.....!!!!!! I don't cruise the streets when I can shoot them fresh......... but whats the problem Howldaloom??? Deker

This is great and has been very interesting and indeed informative,...... its a free world and put them where you like, but I can't help thinking a lot of this stuff would look good in the GALLERY section of this site! .......and then also better catalogued as well! Deker

On top of the cock up they are also spending vaste amounts of taxpayers money having to write to 7 MILLION homes to explain.
