Flippin 'ek, ALL during the day and 28 out of the same place, what on "earth" have you got round there/where do they all keep coming from?! I haven't seem any during the day for a good couple of months...always at dusk or through the night now! I think 3 is the most I have had from one site this year. Cheers Deker

Good on you..do you see many out during the day, they are all keping there heads down round me at the moment. Really thick, close fur these days as well I suspect, looks that way. Cheers Deker

hey up deker i think that the forum where you have to have a special (paid for) email account is the airgun forum, you don;t need anything special to join the airgun bbs fora john Whoops!!!! have I got mixed up...appologies if I have it wrong...I'll go and have a look! OK, don't seem to have a problem now but looking at it I'm sure this was the forum that would not accept a Hotmail address from me before....Airgun BBS that is!!!.

It's normally the way with this sort of thing...everyone thinks it's a great idea, everyone will join...but then it all goes quiet. I wish you every success and really hope you can get this off the ground. I'm over 400 miles away so will not be joining, but if I'm ever up your way I'd love to pop in and hopefully find a thriving club. All the best! Deker

You guys crease me up...it's a free world and you do and think what you want............. but the primary objective of any fuse is people protection, and secondary objective is equipment protection. In this case it is there to protect you and all of the circuit...Not just the battery! Some of the comments posted here in relation to your respect of electricity would leave me with serious concerns about your long term health. But I do agree with your overall assessment of the Logan Lamp Cheers Deker

Land access in and around Stannington, Sheffield?
Deker replied to Bunny-Blaster's topic in Airgun Hunting
Getting permission is seldom easy...we all think we are careful, courteous, considerate, helpful etc, etc and many probably are but strip it down to it's basics and think about it. You knock on a door and before the owner stands a total stranger who says I'm brilliant with a gun can I come and shoot in your garden please? What would your reaction be???? keep at it, put yourself around, don't let the knockbacks get you down and with a bit of luck it will happen. Good luck. Deker. -
walksatnight AIRGUNNER trapper25 Opal Stork has seen this picture before...it from about 4 or 5 weeks ago.......and ...yes this is ALL my own work. To try and answer some of your questions Day 1 -- 52 Day 2 -- 27 Day 3 -- 53 Day 4 -- 26 Day 5 -- 13 This picture was taken after day 3 and does not show all those shot as the staff at the place and my game dealer had already taken some of the squirrels. They have all come from a country park, or to be accurate, only around 25 acres of the park, I'm working my way around it. It's owned by the cou

Brilliant... there is always a feeling of satisfaction when it comes together. I took a very ordinary one last Thursday.... but that coat is really thick now. My Foxcaller just arrived from Vermin Dropper (first one I've ever had). I was out last night pretending for all my worth that I was a poorly rabbit waiting to be eaten but not a sniff. There are definately at least 2 more around this land so I'll keep trying. Cheers Deker

Whoever said it... 50yards----68yards........Springer?.....Bipod?????? I can't deny I would like to see that video too. We can all make big shots sometimes, but SOMETIMES is the important bit. Shots like this, with these tools, should not to be considered under any normal hunting circumstances. Another very important thing to remember is IN THE FIELD!!!! We can all measure 50 yards on a range..take 20 shots to zero and then, with a bit of luck, fire a couple in the right place...how often do you get the chance to do that in the field against live quarry. Please do not say lu

OK everyone, much appreciate the input. On the whole it seems the prices I get are fair to good. If we exclude the OVEN READY prices...... Deer does seem to be very similar price around the country. Pheasant have an amazing spread from 20-40p brace, to £1 EACH Rabbit 25p to £1 each. FOX £15-£25...hey...it's a dog...what do I know...dogs get eaten in some parts of the world! (BUT I am curious about this one) I suspect we are talking supply and demand, Berkshire is getting more and more game/farm shops, so the bunny etc is in quite strong demand. What we have li

Less of the "OLD" you cheeky !

I suspect the word OPEN is what you are looking for. I'm sure you are also aware it does not mean you can use any rifle on any land, it means you can use appropriate rifles on appropriate land. Just means that you get to make that judgement rather than "the chief officer of police." Cheers Deker

Substitute everything I said for the .17HMR for the .22LR. The range will also be around 1.5 miles. Reason is, although the HMR will tend to be that much faster at the muzzle it is also a lot lighter so it doesn't carry the energy over distance and tails off quickly. The .22LR is slower but heavier and carries energy more efficiently. End of the day the figure will be very similar. About 1.5 miles for both. Remember these answers are generalisations as you have given no detail to work with.

That's the piece of string question. A .17g or a .20g, HP, FMJ or SP, which manufacturer, horizontal shooting, sea level, rifle, length of barrell, etc, etc???????? The very simple answer is around 1.5 miles if you point in in the air at an angle of around 32 degrees! However, as I say you can get a lot of variation on that. I would not suggest you tell your FLO you point your HMR in the air and fire it.

You are not allowed to use a relation so it will depend on the interpretation of relation. But I don't think they would be that keen on the idea. I would suggest you find someone else to avoid any potential problems. A referee with the same address as the applicant will obviously raise questions from the police. You could just call them and ask if it was ok!

Wise words from DS. £150 for gunsmith work, whilst painful to us all, is not that much in gun terms IF it solves the problem! If that just buys you a short term work around until the next grief forget it!

You guys crease me up... this is a simple mathematical situation spiced up to look mystical. If you follow the instructions and do your maths correctly it will always work. Its maths not magic

Manufacturers tend to go to the trouble and expense of building fuses into circuits for the safety of either people or equipment or both. (commonly they are also required to comply with electrical regulations) I have no idea what fuse is meant to be in the Logan but if you took out a 5amp 250V and that is the original fuse then replace with the same. Any electric wholesaler or half decent electric store or DIY store will have them.

Again DS is probably your man here BUT there are genuine Fenn or Springer on Ebay. I've had a few bits from Atlantic Stratford (the site you saw the copies on)...you just need to be careful exactly what you do get from them! Also http://www.decoying.co.uk/ 10% discount for members of this site!

Unless your desperate to get a "Harris" i would have a look on American ebay, i got mine from there. i cant remember the make but its every bit as good as my mates Harris except cost less than £30 delivered as opposed to £60 plus. To get the bottla clampyou would probably be best looking in the UK though. Good luck I suspect you mean the Rockmount Bipod. If you compare it side by side with the Harris it isn't quite as good, BUT, there is hardly anything in it and it could well be worth considering!

The Sportsman are the importers in England so you will get a fair price from them. But your local; dealer may be able to match it. The 9-13 Swivel with notched or straight legs can be found for £69.95...I think it lists for about £105. Bottle clamp will be an extra cost of course!

DS is your man here......... but this are not genuine!!! No4 or No6.....fakes or proper.......... be careful of your fingers!
