  1. Here you go, it is cheap and cheerful, picture quality is poor, but still much better than the images you see in the Big Cat Sighting thread. Delay from activation to first picture seems an eternity, with several animals almost out of frame before first picture. Situation and circumstances will change a lot so this may improve. No long term review available yet as only had it a few days, and it's not been out in anything but the lightest drizzle so far. I'll keep an eye on it and continue tests, but not rushing to buy any more at the moment.
  2. I was going to keep this quiet due to embarrassment and the laughter it prompted from those I have told, but seeing as this incident is remarkably similar to at least two others experiences, here we go. Are you sitting comfortably? Last August I was on one of my regular farms, I straddled a barbed wire fence (my normal route) holding the fence down with some pressure, I lost my balance, my rifle slipped on the strap over my shoulder, I grabbed for that and the barbed wire sprung straight up into my crutch like a bow string. A barb must have been pointing directly upwards as I was sp
  3. I am having a revamp of my website and I need a picture of a wild boar. It must be alive, and best part of full screen, so it needs to be close, NO young in picture. I don't get that many myself and my pictures are all fairly distant or when it's deceased. It doesn't matter where in the world the picture was taken, but the UK would be ideal. Can anyone help me with an original picture and their consent for me to use it please. Many thanks!

  6. Brave or desperate...or both?????
  7. Shape/style/grip/weight/material/etc., etc.,................. Nothing right or wrong about any, it's a matter of what suits you/your need!
  8. So, what could the black cat above be, a domestic/feral throwback?? It's certainly NOT, the BIG cat people are looking for. And what is that wording about, why did he regret shooting it, if he pulled the trigger he did it for a reason, he is a keeper allegedly, why was it disposed of at the wish of the owner, keepers don't go rushing to owners, they get on with the job, again, an article that simply doesn't add up! Plenty of cat variations out there and things happen when you mix up breeds, actually they happen sometimes when you don't mix up breeds. So, any suggestions what
  9. This is all part of the risk averse, LAZY, and covering my arse culture we live in today, when it all goes wrong people love to wave a piece of paper and say, NOT MY FAULT, I'VE DONE MY JOB! My medical report for FAC was £50 about 14 months ago!!!!
  10. Yep, that's what I've done...1 on order, if it's ok, maybe a couple more!
  11. Thanks for everyones input on Trail Cams, I've just ordered one like I posted. I'll stick with one for the time being and see what it's like when it arrives before investing in more! Cheers
  12. Help me out guys, this seems to be the thread for all things shooting these days, TRAIL CAMS!!!! I need one, actually probably 2 or 3, for a site full of ramblers, Tree huggers, idiots etc., etc., and the chances of damage/theft is pretty high. I was wondering about investing in these, they are really cheap. Does anyone have any experience whatsoever of these EXACT cams, good or bad please??? Any other suggestions of a really cheap cam as it may not last long?? Many thanks! 12MP HD 1080P Hunting Trail Camera Nature Wildlife Scouting Cam Night Vision 714131840885 |

  14. And now this.......Nusrat Ghani, 2 years on from her sacking she is waving the religion/race flag! Why now, what took so long and what's behind that???
  15. Talking of Austin/Morris (BLMC/British Leyland, or whatever other re-incarnation they used), I seem to recall some of the Lotus used their door handles and TVR their rear light clusters, no doubt a lot more as well! Didn't some Ford engines go in some of the Lotus to, Ford engines certainly found their way into some Noble cars, actually a lot, anyway now it's me who's going on a nostalgic meander!
  16. It's rather difficult to actually say where Renault/Nissan/Dacia/etc stop and start these days, they all use the same parts wherever possible (even if they may have a different part number) and keep as much as possible common to all of them. Nothing new in that, all car manufacturers do the same, several Fiat parts on a Ferrari! Just the same, I'm not convinced any of the X-Trail model variants chassis (they don't actually have a chassis in the conventional sense anyway) was used for the Duster, (I could be wrong), the X-Trails are all bigger, the Duster does seem pretty good VFM b
  17. It's another world for us, the thought of buying ammo/guns from a Supermarket...and we pay more for our ammo as well!
  18. Crumbs, it's bigger inside Downing Street than I thought!
  19. Daft thing was he was ok, he had one of his rimfires, but I deliberately took a different calibre rimfire and a few centrefires, so I could do nothing but follow him around, and get wet I remember, it was one of those misty days with fine rain that simply soaks you. We gave up early with nothing to our name, just one of those days you right off but never forget!
  20. Lots, but one I'll never forget. Long drive for me, nearly 50 miles to pick up my lad, then off to one of his shoots another 20 miles away, only to open the boot and find all the guns but the ammo box which also contained all the rifle Bolts was still back at my house!
  21. I've never seen Boris as PM material, but look at the other option in the election, it was never about best man for the job, simply least bad. Could you even begin to imagine Jeremy Corbyn as PM and Keir Starmer is simply a weasel without an original idea to his name. The country is in a right state politically, but without Boris we would almost certainly still be a state in the Federal Republic of Europe. Think of the alternatives, who could/would lead the Conservatives or the country if he was gone, I don't see any decent political options anywhere with any party!!!!
  22. Deker

    Socks?

I've got the Bats albums on memory stick in the car, always good for a blast! He was a character with some big ups and downs in his life but he made an impact!
  23. Don't know about the diesel variants but the 1.0 Petrol is a disaster. Massive engine failures all over the place (commonly resulting in a new engine) and hundreds of complaints to the SMMT. Also watch out for the electronic steering racks, another common failure, and a repair bill from Ford approaching £2K
  24. Mine was on the doorstep when I got home tonight, it really did look like a drug seizure! Very happy, many thanks!
  25. There you go, that's pretty much all new to me, and I guess most people in the UK! Honestly though the way you guys are over there's I'm surprised they didn't take off much in the UK or at least someone over there copy them.........Maybe licencing, we can't just swap calibres/barrels about, we need a ticket for each. Then again it seems things have moved on your part of the world as well if they have ceased production. If it works for you and you want one that's all that matters, there is a lot of emotion in shooting, and why not?!
