.223 Or .243 For Lamping Foxes
Deker replied to DeerhoundLurcherMan's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I have to agree with danw and charlie caller, something simply doesn't seem right here! -
Talk to Edgar bros, I understand they can supply all factory stocks for CZ. If you want something more exotic there are other third party manufacturers and the skys the limit money wise!

A search of the web should turn up some shotgun/lamp barrel clamps, Deben used to do one.

2.5-10x50? Changing magnification should have no effect on POI, the target stays the same distance away so the bullet/pellet flight is the same, you just see a different sight pattern. Some cheaper or faulty scopes may have an issue here, but there is nothing wrong with the Nite-Eye scope as such!

This is precisely the point I was making earlier. I have never had tins as bad as some suggest here, but instead of simply complaining or chucking half a tin away would it not be best to get for example 10 x 100% perfect pellets and 10 deformed pellets and test them against each other. How long will that take? My gut feeling is the difference will be negligible/nothing...a Blind test would obviously be favourite, so someone else would need to load the pellets so the tester could show no bias, or simply load two magazines (1 good, 1 bad) and mix them up yourself so you don't actually kn

 Appreciate. Simple fact is there are those that say Modified Sine Wave Inverter, is a problem with Microwave or the new Flat screen TV and some audio, so I was hoping to find someone who had one of these specifically and could tell me their findings. I know a Pure Sine Wave would be fine, but a 2000w unit will cost me a Minimum of £300, this is £120, hence the questions Cheers
-
Ok, let me put it another way, this is a Modified Sine Wave Inverter, I have heard comment that it is not happy with Microwave or the new Flat screen TV. Forget the 12V battery supply to it, that will be provided by a minimum of 3 x 125AH batteries, and forget any appliance being over rated for it. Will a Modified Sine Wave Inverter satisfactorily run a Microwave and new style TV? Cheers
-
So just how big a hole has it got if is .243 UPWARDS?
-
Does anyone actually have one of these, or the lower powered version of the SAME make? Do you run Microwave or flat screen TV from it, what is your verdict...obviously I'm talking about running it within its power output band, thanks! http://www.amazon.co.uk/converter-appliances-converters-refrigerator-MRI20013/dp/B00CI0PB0E/ref=sr_1_2/278-3404320-4402736?ie=UTF8&qid=1388786495&sr=8-2&keywords=inverters

I very rarely miss with the rifle, shotgun is a different matter! If I miss I check the zero asap, usually find it is spot on, give myself the proverbial kick up the bum, confidence is restored and then it's back to normal.
-
I don't use them, never really have although I made an effort about 2.5 years ago, 3 on the bounce ...all faulty.... so gave up...unbelievable bad luck. I use 12ft lb and out to decent distances with the centrefires. I know my guns/ammo well and for whatever reason I'm pretty good at distance judgement. I get on just fine, but, there are no doubt times that I, and many others, could find a rangefinder useful, that's why I wanted to give one a try!

New Scope Options, Best Results With Nite Site Ns50
Deker replied to Stuart1985's topic in General Airgun Discussion
The NS can take a little setting up initially but is easy in time, if your scope works fine normally something is saying to me check the focus of the NS Camera, the lens housing rotates. If you have done this already and not got it crisp then I'm lost. ATB! -
Times have changed at Theoben, Lord knows what you can find/buy today, but a .25 12ft lb was historically available!

New Scope Options, Best Results With Nite Site Ns50
Deker replied to Stuart1985's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Most scopes work pretty well with the NS, SF may have advantages though....have you focused your NS to get the best pic? Sidewinders are overkill and too heavy generally in my opinion on any air rifle. ATB! -
There is plenty of value around for £100, and as you have already suggested that is fine for most applications, especially on a semi. Spend £400, or whatever you like, but I see no point on a 10-22!
-
Quite so, my Falcon prefers the 5.51.
-
They are fine, and the SF of the latest model Varmint make then better than the previous models.
-
So, what have you been using and what is so wrong with them you need advice?
-
...so at this rate you will have a PCP by Easter!
-
All these pellets that you've "dismissed and thrown away" try putting them in a tin and use them for plinking at targets you might be pleasantly surprised, failing that just use them when your using the crono where accuracy isn't needed Ps just bought three tins myself   I would be surprised if you notice any difference in performance, and if you are that worried about deformed skirts and sharp edges what are you using a pellet pouch? AA Fields are one of the most consistent pellets I have used over the years, if you are concerned about the tins you have a

Pillar And Glass Bedding Rimfires!!!
Deker replied to irishnut's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I think you will find VERY few Target rifles will come bedded, and if anyone buys a Target rifle and finds it need bedding they should take it back, not spend time bedding it. There is only ever any need to go down this route if your rimfire is causing an issue, and very few do for field or target use! -
I'm beginning to feel like Jeremy Paxman, how many times do you intend to avoid the question.... Have you actually got a FAC and a rifle yet? Alsone You have an interesting turn of phrase, 3/4lb is massive when you have been carrying it all day. You really do need to stop reading so much and actually do it, when did you last walk around all day with a rifle combo weighting 12lb plus and then do the same with a 10lb combo. It doesn't matter how big and fit you think you are, you WILL notice the difference! So, just how much does any rifle you own weight fully set up? A rifle

 As others have said, charts and tables will only tell you so much, so a lot is experience, but I do my best to stay out of winds anywhere near 35mph, you are too much in the lap of the Gods!
-
...hence why you have to know your ammo and rifle, the fact is a 35mph crosswind is a serious contender, and whichever way you look at it there will be a lot of bullet drift at 200 yards!
