So far it ain't to bad down here in Kent. It's been a bit breezy all day and the clouds have been fair zipping by. There's certainly some horsepower up there racing by. I wonder if all of the wind turbines are at full chat down on Romney marsh. This evening the rain has arrived. The dog needed to go out and the rain was sheeting by like smoke in the street lights. I was not going out there to hold hands and left the outhouse door open. She wasn't out there very long, sensible animal but was pretty wet when she came back in. She's parked out by the Rayburn drying off. I did tell her that sh
  2. I suppose that with so many people in the world that there will be an amount of wastage. There is such a pressure on the young right from when they are at primary school. Social media puts so much strain on young girls and women to get their bits out and are preyed on by those using social media to fool and gain trust to get into knickers ect. Young men are stressed by the social expectation of success which given job prospects . everything is being advertised as way out of line with normality. Girls can't all lòok like a princess, clever with a full set and young blokes can't all be taĺl
  3. Nah, Nah, Nah. 1.7 REM CF ain't the pip-squeak 1.7 hornet. A 1.7 REM CF is a necked down version of a .222 Remington magnum cartridge which is similar to a 223 but the case is about 2mm longer. This case is necked down to 1.7 and launches a 20 .... to .... 30 grain bullet at speeds up to about 4,500 fps. Virtually no recoil, piano string trajectory. devastating terminal internal wound effect out to 300 yards. There was virtually no entry wound and no exit wound. The terminal energy was unloaded inside of the carcase and when the coyote which is sort of like a small Alsatian size ( coyote
  4. You troublesome villainous hound you. Forums come and forums go. No one can remember much from last week anyway. I used to frequent an American site called Coyote gods. It was bloming brilliant with a lot of really clever blokes who used the Remington 1.7 cf to shoot coyotes that were lured into kill zones by the use of electronic callers and specially trained airdale terrier that acted as provocative decoys. The coyote heard the caller and came in to what it thought was a dog defending a kill. The airdale knew the score and when it made contact it would retreat back towards the kill zone.
  5. For those of the congregation who can remember Frank Spencer ,; At one time he was ejaculated from his abode. I was under an impression that the vast majority of those who form the congregation here were the ejaculated effluent from pigeon watch. S.D. is a self confessed ejaculate. I wonder what misdemeanour he comitted ? What foul mouthed expressions were used. Maybe the heinous ungodly act he performed ? Driven cat shooting on Sunday or eating chocolate biscuits in front of the dogs. It's one of life's mysteries.. quote ...... I was ejaculated off pigeon crotch. They don't l

Didn't he bring it to the girls attention ? are you booked in for a repeat performance ____????? I remember back when I was at school there was a game of basketball in which the head boy was playing. He was a bit of a clod and during the match he developed a difficulty in his ability to walk. He went bright red, The boys in the crowd were laughing and the girls were giggling and pointing. All sport and entertainment. He was the colour of a beetroot. ????
  7. Happy New gun...l even if it is February. You mean that you haven't been ejaculated from pigeon watch ?? I thought that everyone on here had been ejaculated off of pigeon watch.

Well there's nowt as queer as folk. How come all you blokes are at home in the evenings lounging around in not a lot ? Why aren't you out on patrol across the fields with gun and hound ? Still I suppose that you're not doing anyone anyone any harm lounging around at home. I don't actually own a set of pyjamas. I suppose that if I had to go Into hospital I'd have to go and buy some or they'd have to issue me with a gown temp. I suppose I could always break out a clean pair of overalls. Pyjamas : haven't had any since : Well certainly not since I got with her. And I couldn't borrow h
  9. Why is that then ? Is she like frightened, or hungry ?
  10. I think that its got to be something to do with the fact that they are closely linked genetically with us that we are susceptible to their version of the virus that they are carrying. Like they say " the tiģhter the knit the closer The fit." The program about the Spanish Flu last night was very interesting. We know so much more now about viruses and how they work that a serious aggressive pathogen like the Spanish flue wouldn't have it all it's own way but it would still take a lot especially in crowded places like refugee camps or poor countries with rural populations similar situa
  11. You know how bad it is, ( the muscle pain, the cold sweats, the rots and voms, the strained muscles and the complete draining of strength for at least a couple of weeks) still I believe that if you've had it you are sort of immune for a while.... until a new strain comes along. When I went back to work they all kept away from me for some time. That was quite good. and I'm sure that you WOULD wish it on your worst enemy Ps there is a program about the Spanish Flu on BBC 2 now time 23.35
  12. I know that this virus has killed over 1000 people but I just watched the local BBC news and the reporters and editors need to be wheeled in and given a serious word in their ear. What a load of shallow sensationalist crud. Only two people have died outside of China and about 46,000 people in total have been infected. Mostly when China . I don't know how many people die each year through normal flu ect but the people who have died from this outbrake have mainly been old and with other health problems. Some of the General public were going a bit paranoid and saying that they weren't goi
  13. Beastly woman ??. Didnt you scrub her down with a wire brush and detol ? Then quarantine her out in the shed with a bucket and a bale of straw ?
  14. Is this in sympathy with the Christmas bird. Do you use the sprig of thyme also ?
  15. The grand kids are disease carriers. They go to nursery / school and get stuff . And we suffer for it. The worst was Norovirus. Grandaughter got it gave it to mum, wife went to help them and got it. She came back and gave it to us. We all lost a complete week. Moral is, send wife don't let her come back !???. Norovirus is the worst thing I have ever experienced. It is no fun to be sitting on the pan and throwing up into the bath at the same time whilst two others are fighting for the pan and the bath all at the same time. Or rolling about on the kitchen floor in agony and a cold sweat a
  16. You'll notice that the of the crimp of the TopMark cartridges have been melted. This was to hold the crimp tight , make the burn cleaner and give a better velocity. Those Top Mark are probably early eighties. At that time the common Winchester cartridges were trap 100, trap 200, winners, AA's, Western and Winchester GB's. I used to use GB's for game shooting and general walked up. These were really good and are not available anymore. I think that they are in France. They were a lot better than the majority of cartridges that are available today. Those Top Mark were a top cartridge. It's
  17. Yep. That's what the ole boys used to say. Eley Grand Prix . 1:-1/16th #4 in full choke. Rat to an elephant ! Mind you most of the guns that the ole boys had were so worn out through shooting black powder cartridges with corrosive primers through Damascus barrels and just bringing them in from the cold outside and propping them up in the corner of the kitchen, that any choke that they may well have had once was well and truelly worn out and they were cylinder anyway.
  18. Some people ask about the safety and effectivenessof old cartridges but generally it doesn't matter. in the past I've been given some and also picked up the odd dropped cartridge which was as rusty as an old horseshoe. Generally they go off just as new. The very odd one that don't go off has been a primer failure. The 4,s would be ok for a fox drive and the Topmark were a Winchester. Good for a phesant drive. Shot sizes were always larger years ago and a lot of shooters used #5 for everything from a rat to an elephant.
  19. It's when people just eject and walk away. Mucky and wasteful. We got to do our bit for eco saving. ..... I love it when this happens cos I slip over and pick them up. Even if its not a caliber that I might be shooting this wèek. Yep 222, 223, 243, 270 their all welcom in my bag. The 222 is so inherently accurate.
  20. Don't make any difference. They fire the same bullet at exaçtly the same velocity. Charlie ain't going to notice any difference in the slightest. Both reload very easily, keep your cases for reloading even if you don't think that your going to. Just keep them. Plenty of very good s/h ones out there. You ain't going to wear any out. The choice is yours. The slight differences in the calibre are just in the case dimensions.
  21. The eagle was locally known as Lester piggit. extreme goat racer.
  22. What about the 3rd btn Philip schofields' light homo's prancing infantry ? You can just see it.... Sgt major Williams ..... COS, YOU ARE A BUNCH OF POOFS.
  23. But that isñt as newsworthy as Philip Schofield announcing that he is a gaylord. Its the same as the irish general election. It's kind of a non event over here.
  24. How lovely. I was just thinking about walking along the main drag of Salou with the Mrs on a warm summer evening with the surrounding warmth. Or Chania or Palma about 6 o'clock . The heat seems more concentrated in the early evening like when you open the oven door. I'll take 36 /38 every day. The hottest I've been in was about 45 out in the desert. But its what you get used to. Suddenly 36 seèms cold. Still we mustn't complain it's 6 outside 15mph wind. And the rain is important because we will have a hosepipe ban in a few months and the garden needs it. !! CHANIA. on CRETE. Temp ,
  25. I came home and took the spaniel out. The poor blighter looked at me with an expression of.... "we haven't got to go round those muddy fields again have we. And I don't reckon much on being hosed down when we come back !! Even though I do get a warm shower afterwards ". I thought, "I'm with you on this one hound". Sod it we'll stay home and you can use the lawn. I don't like humid sticky heat but I can take it out in the desert. I wonder where at this moment in the world that it is nice just like a nice summer's day. And to anyone who says you a soft southerner , yep and I bloody w
