What's wrong in having a large sausage at breakfast ? Not doing anyone any harm. I like a bit of sausage in the morning. Far better than messing about with a few cornflakes. The Mrs on the other hand is a special K fan. There's something wrong with her but I think that most of the time she's beyond help. ? Ps. Cornflakes !?

The night's are beginning to get out. The other day I was helping son in law top a few trees in their garden and it was still dusk at 5 o'clock. I could clearly we up the road a fair way. The other afternoon I walked into a big Charlie coming out of the wood at 4.20 and the daffs are up about a foot high and showing the tight yellow flower another week and they will be about to open. Today there was a pair of blue tits lòoking for insects. I think that they were a pair because one was harassing the other on a shrub in the back garden.

What with berko and that bloke that kept hollering outside parliment, the mad votes , blair, major and all of the rest of the traitors, suddenly it's like it never happened. The process is steaming forward and things like the royal accord and Boris signing the laws are almost a non news worthy event. I wonder what Blair and co are doing now. That they haven't got any say at all?

It doesn't really matter what any of us think. As I wrote all of my girls came shooting with me from the age of about 8 and night shooting but not when they were 8 or 9. And not rats at any time. when they were young they only spent a few hours out with me because they had, had enough and couldn't keep up. As they got older they used to be out on the commercial shoot beating with the gang all day. Like I also wrote its dark at 5 so why has this bloke got to be out there at nine + o'clock . Only the other evening I walked into charlie coming out the wood a 4.20. I didnt have to wait unt

Well like I wrote, it doesn't matter what any of us think about this. Social services have a public duty to look after minors. The local newspaper article only covers part of this. This bloke has said that social have told him that he can't take the kids out rattling after 9 o'clock. Contrary to what some of you think it is not normal behaviour to take children as young as 8 and 9 out ratting at nine or ten + at night... but it would be interesting to see how this plays out. Either he continues or not and what if anything happens by the authorities. Anyone know this bloke personally? Se

Google is your friend. apart from you can, Why would you want rifle calibers that are very similar. If it's a collecting thing ok but dead is dead from a hunting aspect. Ammo.... there ain't many gun shops in the country that would Cary or even get in factory ammo in 17 Mach ll . As far as I know the 17 Mach ll is based on the 22lr case whereas the 17 Hmr is based on the wmr and as such has less poke than a 17hmr.

It doesn't matter what you or anyone else thinks about this. The fact of the matter is that this bloke is taking minors out rattling when they should be home in bed. It gets dark at 5pm so there is no reason to have minors out at 9+ oclock at night. It's nothing to do with doing a job the council / business should be doing. I took aĺl of my girls out hunting but not out night shooting at midnight ect. Considering that their out in the middle of a city they are in the view of the general public. This wont be a case of plod charging him with anything. It will be a case of child welfare

Quote, "I have been approached by the police on different occasions and received letters from the social services. "They say I can't take the children out after 9pm. Not much sympathy for The guy. The bloke don't take advice does he. Why make a confrontation out of it. People must have made plod aware. Plod has had a word with him about it and marked his card. They've contacted social services who've sent LETTERS to him. Is it normal to be out with eight and nine year olds rattling at 9 o'clock and later at night ? It's dark at 5 so why not go earlier rather than when the kids

The original post was about pigeon shooting and antis phoning the police all the time. Not about crow shooting. Quote.... if I can keep the racket down id be back in the hide a lot more. There are massive numbers of Woodys about at the moment , all the fields around my area are full of flags and crow scarers that do absolutely sod all.

I can see the use of silencers but they can make point of impact in different places due to what ammo is used. There is absolutely no point or advantage to using a muzzle brake. Not unless you using a 50 cal Browning or the recoil is so massive from your weaponďthat you keep ending up sitting on your aris in the mud. ? -

If the guts of your silencer is that fragile how does it put up with many tons of pulse pressure every time that you fire the gun ? I clean my silencer about every 200 rounds or so. Dismantle it and a mixture of wire brush and screwdrier. The powder residue is like polyfiller in there. Failing that ...????.....unscrew it and throw it away. Useless bloody barrel rotting things ! ? -
All of this talk about 410s and silencers us just a waste of time. why should you be hiding up. It all boils down to A. Is there a crop there that you are protecting. B. Does the owner want you out there shooting the pigeons ? If the answer to these is yes and other crop protection methods have been tried then you got to be a bit brave and go shooting. Ring plod up, give plod your full details and if necessary get the land owner to contact them as well. If they aint prepared to do this then they had better get out there and protect their own crop. Take a clear COPY of cert with you AND w

My Dad served in Burma and was in the Royal engineers. On odd occasions we spoke about his time out there and what had seen done and witnessed. He was involved with getting the supplies and ammunition from the docks in Rangoon up the Irawadi and chindwin rivers through the jungle right up to near the Chinese boarder. Considering that occasionally he got to places of relative civilisation it was a terrible situation. They had no food or medicines. Everything rotted out very quickly and they were in rags of what was left of their uniforms. One night they were tied up alongside the bank when

Serves you bloody well right for encouraging vermin. Why are you on here when you should be out scouring the area, rattling a tin of Katy Kat about. It ain't going to be on here reading about rabbiting ect. ? Ps if she asks the whereabouts of Fiddo you'll have to say that you think it's gone on holiday. And if it don't come back that it must have got married somewhere.

Not with fixed bayonets they haven't mr mainwaring. It's the cold steel that they dont like. A ywsy the invading fellows of foreign origin are doing all the jobs that us idle British won't lower ourselves to do. They'll also work for basic. And be greatful.

Lots of countries were on the loosing side but they are no different to us and have their freedoms and normal lives Eg Italy & Japan. This pride thing is often heard but when did pride ever come in the frame of real life. My grandmother was reaĺy proud of the fact that her husband had marched off to war, gotten blown up and the country gave her nothing in return. Two young children. No dole or benefits nothing. Living on a meagre war widows pension in a damp cold town with no garden or access to anything. Her health failed and she got pneumonia . And that's not a lot different toda

A lot of us on here know what centerfire rifles do but back then not many of the population had the first idea what would happen in a brutal industrial war. Back then very few people travelled more than a few miles from theìr village. No Tv, no communication. A lot of people were pretty illiterate. How would they know that they would be marched along a road. Lined out in a field, told to dig in and get on with it. Imagine what that would be like when it's passing down with rain as it has been recently. That's with leather boots and khaki. That's before the shelling and beiñg under fir

We're they brave, or stupid or just doing what they were told either through cultural expectations or conditioning. Two generations of my family have been devastated by ww1 and ww 2. Grandfather was killed in France in www and is planted near Bethune. He had been a skilled French polished and furniture restorer. Married with two small girls. Father was a mechanical engineer married with two small girls. He was a fit strong young man when he was sent to Burma. He did come home but was a wreck . Basically he never really recovered from the physical and mental trauma of the conditions and

I agree. I know that everything is online now but if you have only been to see your .... somtimes doctor about a twisted ankle or a sore Willie how does that determine what you are like when the Mrs is playing away or you've been made redundant and you can't pay the mortgage. I don't know what my neighbour might do in any given circumstance so all of it is a load of bollocks. As what happened to some of the people that have gone out on the rampage. What about all these stabbings ect. Who knew that xyz would go out a stab someone like the bloke on london bridge. -

Please let us know what they say about this. If and when you get a response. Has anyone contacted their MP about what plod is up to? -

And then what are you going to do with them ? How does some other doctor who has never ever seen you know what you are like or what you may or may not do in any given circumstance. -

I hope that mine and all other doctors do this. Plod would have to rethink this nonsense. For the life of me I do not understand everyone's blind non complaining stance on this. So how about you have to pay £500 for the Feo to come out to visit you. Are you all going to take that also What about £100 to print out yiour new cert. £ 50 to post it to you. Where does it all stop. Ps. I wonder who told them to refuse all shotgun / firearms requests ?? Still some doctors are charging and not replying to plod anyway. As far as I know if the do has not replied within 20 days they -

Are you or anyone else on here happy to pay this on top of the other changes for a cert. What gets me is the fact that this has been dreamt up by random counties firearms departments. There is no government requirement for this or any law stating so. Some cou ties do and some dont. No one wa t's nutters to have guns but isn't this what the application process is for ? I've no objection to plod asking my gp if I am or are likely to be a nutter but why should I be required to pay for this information. What it boils down to is . Are you prepared to pay for work commisioned by a thir -

When the pelts were worth a few bob the carcases were hung up in the stable and ole Bob used to brush the pelt with a curry comb to brush out the mud and stuff and to fluff the fur so as to get a better price. one time after the combing ole Bob started to itch and scratch. A few unwanted friends had decided to jump ship and thought that ole Bob might be a better host. The thing being that ole Bob hadn't been sober for at least 25 years and after the first taste of blood/ alcohol from ole Bob they were probably completely stoned. He was a character. He used to go out boozing with a mate of
