    The lads dog had to be pts and he’s gutted...... and I’m the only one who thinks “ffs things happen, move on” is perhaps not the greatest thing to say. Clearly an out of order snow flake ? Back to the OP. I lost one last season mate and blamed myself in a lot of ways, and you’ll never forget the dog, you just need to learn from the Experiance and try to focus on the good times you had with her, and out the time into the other dogs to keep your mind off it mate. It’s sucks and there isn’t any way around that.

As I said I largely agree with your sentiment, but have you ever heard the saying “it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it”.

    What confuses people is that an infection will raise body temp and make something in fertile. Often takes up to one week for anti biotics to work, and so lower body temp and make dog fertile again.

    As someone who had had a lot of stock killed by dogs - one thing I will say is here it’s almost never hunting dogs! Only time it’s been a Lurcher it was a bull x being walked by a rescue charity worker and a collie x by a rich woman who has it as a pet! It’s always some posh lady with her pet dog’s. Or a dog Walker losing a husky!!!!

    Not everyone can stand up for themselves ..... does that mean it’s ok to bully people weaker and smaller than you?     That’s exactly it, what f*cking right does he have to do that, or think he does. If that were your Mrs, daughter, sister etc you’d be extremely angry. And that should be same for any woman. It’s a messed up culture! When I was younger I can honestly say I’ve rarely got into a fight over me, or cos I’ve taken offence about something said to me or whatever, occasionally but not often.     Apparently so. Not so much these days, I think I look a bit more weather beaten and scarier. But when I was a bit younger, had it happen lots of times. Usually waiting at the bar or whatever, some lad who his mates, usually football type, come up and grab my hair and make some daft comment about me being a girl and the usual weeeeey lads lads lads type shit. Mind you that’s tame. When I was younger I had at least two or three occasions where I got spat at, and my Mrs at the time got spat at / on, because I had long hair etc and was a bit alternative.
