Once you have dug the whole thing over manure half, cover with black plastic and forget about it till next year. This way you'll have some nice ground ready next year and can ease yourself in this year on the other half, a whole allotment can be daunting to a newbie and it can become too much work quickly!
I've tried to up my gang from 2&1 because of the holiday problem. Do you think any of the brickies that i have tried out were any good, NO. Good blokes are getting looked after atm so you get eejits coming out the woodwork claiming to be brickies as they've heard the money is good, although its a good time for us now it can be frustrating!
I'm not worried by this. However prefabricated modular panels/house will become a concern at some point in the future. I understand a chinese company is already making moves with this method in the UK, a test development is planned and 6 factories for production will be built. I am a brickie
