  1. If it's not a send up I reckon he's just trying to get his name in lights, even bad publicity is better than none as they say. Wow, a whippet cross greyhound, hardly rocket science and hard to go wrong with that cross if you want a speed machine lurcher.
  2. Yeah I'm not that enchanting on the beers, prefer bourbon these days.
  3. I can imagine, lol. You should see our North , Queensland, they are the ones that drink XXXX but they have plenty of fingers to hold the big cans.
  4. He was like a Sunday school teacher over here, we pit fight our Yorkshire terriers and use our whippets on water buffalo. It's a rough place, everything that lives here will fck you and you have an awfully perdie mouth mC HULL.?
  5. Not free hunting here, you get caught poaching you could well end up staying for good. I think I saw your best dog slide past here, isn't Fenton his name. I'll find him mate, I'll just follow the slime trail. ?
  6. I think because it was a big fast dog it had a better chance of catching roos, I've seen two German shepherds out bush on different occasions and they were dying of starvation. What surprised me was I thought greys needed a fair bit of care. The grey was in heavily timbered bushland with no farms for miles but probably creeks around. There was a Jack Russell that lived in a state forest here, everyone used to see him and he lived for years, feral as. Being small he probably lived on rodents and lizards.
  7. We found a greyhound bitch years ago on the side of a highway in the middle of the bush and pulled over. Pretty thin, was covered in scars otherwise in good health and just walked up to us. We ended up finding the owner who said it was a decent track dog and had been missing for months. Judging by the scars it looked to have survived catching roos. I was surprised a dog like that had survived that long in the wild.
  8. Don't get upset, 24 hours isn't a bad recall time for a sand slug.
  9. The light, agile dogs seem to do best on the rabbits on ground like that over here.
  10. Nice pup mate, perfect cross for hilly country imo.
  11. Where I do my hunting it's a cool, dry area, for Australia. I'd imagine to baits would last at the top end of this.
  12. Take the cutest pup around and show the mrs , it has worked every time for me and my mrs is rather scary, lol.
  13. Get a whippet mate, when not working they are happy to sleep on the lounge.
  14. I think most if not all hunters hate baiting, I don't even like baiting for rats, I'd rather rely on the farm cats and terrier. You are supposed to bury the baits for foxes and dogs, that's why I don't understand the aerial bit.
  15. That's good, over here they aerial bait wild dogs with it, it kills heaps of native animals and birds including Wedgetailed eagles. Good luck hunting with dogs in the areas baited. They should ban it.
  16. Blue jeans, they are tough, originally work clothes and don't get burs stuck to them. Not the ripped trendy ones like Samantha Fox wore.
  17. Hob's minds are all over the place in breeding season even with no jills.
  18. I think it's better not knowing where they go so you don't hear about the horror stories later and want to kill people. I'd rather pay top dollar for a pup these days than put up with the shit breeding and homing a litter involves.
  19. When I was a kid I had a pack of Silky terriers which are a cross of the Yorkshire and Aussie terrier. I used to go ratting at an abattoir in Sydney several times a week and they were very good at their job. They also bolted foxes at times and caught plenty of rabbits in blackberries.
  20. They're good snake killers and will bolt foxes. .
  21. You'll never know mate cause your sand kickers could'nt catch one. ?
