I imagine they would, I just meant they need to give these morons a serving. -

Apart from all the other bad stuff about this the dumb cn'ts have turned the dogs into sheep killers ?. Imo they need to answer to the proper dog blokes in the area. -
Perfect all round bush dog here for everything including boars. If I could only own one dog this would be the type.

I think you are getting me mixed up with Doug, lol. I live in NSW, Doug in Victoria, I've never met him but strangely we have dogs that are sisters from the different litters. Such is the small number of ferreters here that have running dogs. All pig hunting here in NSW with only the dedicated few running dog people. I don't use locators where I am, pretty useless without a backhoe in the rocky hill country I hunt.

My dogs live through -8 to 45c mate, you haven't seen a working whippet. This is how you picture a whippet, lol.

Deer deer and more deer

Not giving the whips up but thinking of getting a dog for bigger stuff, do you think one of your coursing Saluki types could handle fallow (if it was legal) in the bush here? Cheers. -

That's a good pigdog cross, lol. -
When my blue whippet lurcher was younger she would jump and spin around in the air as soon as I touched the fert's carry box, lol.
-
As young as possible as said, watch the ferrets don't bite the dog, my whippets just yelp and jump back but a terrier type pup might see this as a challenge as is their nature. Best thing is to get them out hunting together imo. As you say just have them around the cages until the novelty wears off.

Lol, there are a lot of knowledgeable and keen hunters around mate and most you will never hear of because they don't give a fck.

bowline whippet x greyhounds longdogs
Aussie Whip replied to Rudeboy 1's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Don't think of starting a line, for God sakes. -
My whippet lurchers are from long generation ferreting dogs and love ferrets, so no training needed. With the terriers I have them around the ferret cages so they get used to them, if they show predatory behavior they get punished. Only 2 or 3 times as pups and they get the message and ignore them. Once they get out working with the ferrets they soon learn they are allies.

Deer deer and more deer

Not a downer, means they are in good numbers. Fallow over here are reaching pest proportions in a large variety of habitats from the coast to almost desert areas. -
Best food for working terriers.

Try painting the probe in rainbow colors ?.

I've found the whippet bitches better hunters than the dogs but it's hard to find a bad whippet of either sex imo, lol. I always go for the dominant pup in a whippet litter, which is often a bitch.
-
Funny you mention those three breeds, the mrs had a mix of the three that was her main dog when pig hunting.
-
It looked like Bob Marley on heroin when he found it, lol but it became a very loyal dog and you couldn't get in his house without shooting it.
-
Haven't seen a working Afghan but my mate has one that puts his two red cattle dogs to shame as a guard dog. He rescued him after someone dumped the dog in a stormwater drain.
-
I often chuck rats caught in live catch traps in with a hob, they roll the rat up and kill quicker than a terrier. Mine won't eat them, too spoilt, lol.
-
All joking aside that dog looks like it would kill a fox no problem. Corgis have a strong jaw like Oz cattle dogs, I know cause I've been bitten by one, lol.

They don't. Tell cuz to go home we have enough wogs and coppers here, lol.
