One of my oldest and dearest mates died recently and he was one of the staunchest blokes on the planet. I played Come Join the Murder by White Buffalo and it's stuck in my head now, top song but sad as.

What I've seen, the pups are more leggy with the greyhound as the dam. Not collie crosses but ACD's and others.

I didn't know they were still classed as vermin. My mrs lost of all dogs, a staghound that got down a wombat burrow. The pigs get into the burrows as well as you probably know. The mrs had an old pigdog that would get on top while the other dogs drew the pig out and he'd grab it by the back of the neck.

Yeah, I think they damaged a lot of fencing, digging under and stock getting out mainly. You have to bat proof your pigdogs as they say over here, impossible with terriers. The wombats can crush the dogs skulls into the top of the burrows. But we used to kill everthing over here, as with the thylacine.

I remember my dad saying they used to give you 50c for a wombat scalp when he was young but I don't think they had kebabs here back then. Not in Summer Bay by crikey.

Yeah, not all pitbulls can fight and I've seen an English staff almost kill one nearly twice his size because it showed aggression to the staff's owners.

I think the offending person should be brought to justice but it not made public if they have a family, otherwise the cnt will not only ruin the victim's life but also his own kid's lives and they are totally innocent and are already suffering. Vigilantes have killed many innocent people so should be locked up as dangerous to society.

I reckon it's the way it's meant to be, have pride and confidence in your dogs. Put that energy into them and they'll give it their best. Keep telling them they're useless and they will be, same as kids.

I agree 3/4 whippets are the best rabbit dogs but the best ever on the planet has passed now, Shady, 3/4 whippet, 1/4 stag. Magoo has nothing on me, lol.

That's a good point, they do get too good and it's bad as we mostly don't use locators here. Doing pest control it was ok as the older ferrets would just kill and move on quickly. They were good in big blackberry patches where you couldn't get to the holes.

I think ferrets just keep getting better at working almost up to the end, which makes losing them that much harder. Great animals.
