  1. don't know. Was a lad on here recently saying he was going to use him, don't know if he'd been in contact. Someone on this thread will know
  2. ?, know nowt about breeding but would Scouser not be a good match
  3. same sire and the dam's must be sisters (Molly and Bonnie?)
  4. they lay dormant until the dog is stressed in some way or has pups etc then they'll be killed by the wormer? Can't remember really but is the active ingredient not the same in a few of them just had a look at the packet, for round and tape "Praziquantel", iirc that's what's in Drontal
  5. had them with little stumps like they've been chewed/shot/cut off but never like that one. There was a one eared leveret at work a few years back
  6. there's 12th gen collie x greys. 13th gen deerhound x greys. Bull greys that have been going since the bulldogs came over and saluki lurchers that have been going since salukis were available...
  7. just use Milbemax/Milprazon. Never understood how a dead worm builds up a resistance ??
  8. certainly sounds a challenge. That's more than just being an alpha saluki, sounds like these dogs that you see on tv that have hardly been out, bursting in energy. If you do get some help or improvement in him it would be interesting to hear about. All I've got is more running/exercise would surely make him better for training
  9. piss taking is to be expected on here lol. I'm sorry I can't offer any advice, the world and his wife didn't have dogs when we had ours so he was always to watch. Tighten his collar. Might be aggression, fear, not knowing how to act around dogs?? We had ours from 6 weeks to 16 1/2 years. The bitch he was reared with was spot on and the dog that was reared next to him was spot on as well (and a lurcher as well was fine)??
  10. he'll prob be worse on home turf. Natural watchdogs
  11. a dog can't get out of a properly fitted lead. Guessing its the two that were for sale in Scotland, how did the previous owners exercise them. we had one that was a tit with other dogs, at the time there wasn't many dogs around us so it wasn't that bad, coincidently he didn't like being left lol
  12. not really helpful but you could try giving him more exercise/work if he isn't getting much? some salukis (males) don't like other dogs and some also don't like being left/kennelled, keep at it??
  13. the pups randomly take 50% of their genes from each parent, if the parents are pure it can only be bull genes etc, they don't all take the same genes and some genes are stronger. If the parents are crossed the 50% can be anything
  14. no such thing as a 5th gen F1. Its F1 F2 F3 same as writing 1st gen 2nd gen 3rd gen ?
  15. Casino was bwra whip 'Maddison' x greyhound 'Homebird'. His brother 'Son of a bitch' was the sire to my old dog ?
  16. that Dusty is the grandmother to his merle pups!? Hit by a car was the line. None of his woolly's lasted five minutes either ?
  17. longdog is two or more sighthounds crossed. Lurcher is a sighthound crossed with something else "usually" cur or terrier.......personally just call them dogs
  18. never understood the issue with names, its no different with any dogs galgos or whatever. you can either say you've got a whip or say its down off Sooty Sam and people have more of an idea, even Hancock has named studs and peds lol
  19. be better dogs to breed faster types off in the future as well
  20. ? can only go off what we've seen
  21. less injuries/time off with sal types and long careers
