  1. I prefer 9.5 just because I have shot rabbits in the head they have gone down as if dead only to rise back up within seconds using 8mm steel. If it works for you then use it but you need to be a lot more accurate with 8mm.
  2. I prefer the plain black ones then just paint the one I use with florescent pink paint. It really stands out between two black ones
  3. Been using one for a few weeks now. Prefer it to the Enzo simply because it handles better. However I can feel it distorting when using medium draw bands, only banding up to sniper yellow .7 with 20_15 taper get around 240fps with 9.5steel. Can shoot it equally as well ott or ttf. Love using them WASP castle clamp in ttf format really good and make a big difference to accuracy, however I can't get the accuracy in ott format.
  4. If it does it will be the fluoride in the toothpaste that is doing it. I know fluoride toothpaste is toxic to dogs. If not the the ? will have the whitest teeth in the world?????
  5. Terkel if you can find one the dos’nt give to much tongue. Hellish nose on them, go through any undergrowth. Can be trained to retrieve very versatile little dog?
  6. You can buy a lot of carrots for £1300 they will help you see in the dark ????
  7. Goldfinch where do you purchase them collars from
  8. Bonny dog you have there Goldfinch. How good are thoughts bells, can they be heard in the wind
  9. Would not be without one. Got a Garmin far to many features on it, have to keep resetting compass but excellent range, multi dog features and 5 second update
  10. Blow torch, kitchen soup ladle and lee moulds
  11. Cheer matey he just coming up to a year old. I think he may have 1/4 patterdale in him. Not that it bothers me. He is not as good as my Teckel below but he is still a little mean worker and never gives up.
  12. If you want longevity then you will have to change to tubes looped 1842, 1745 or 3050 or single orange or green dub dub will be ok for 10mm lead I have had tube sets that have lasted well over 1000 shots if properly tied. If you are sticking with flat bands then try the ones from Catty Shack but they will only last about 200 shots but are good. Its the taper that kills the longevity with flat bands. Flats for speed ,tubes for longevity ?
  13. Aye seen a similar thing on one of the sites I was working back in June but the magpies were not so luck? . B..... Vegans.
  14. Thank you. The Russell has a loverly size and hellish double coat on him but zero prey drive. Where the Teckel have fantastic noses will go through any under growth and would go to ground if I went down that road. Yes slower than a terrier but far better for walking up with a .410 and unbelievable stamina
  15. Personal I think you will struggle finding a small enough terrier to fit under a pallet. The only thing would be to cross a working miniature Jack Russell with a tea pot Yorkie or maybe a miniature Dachshund if you can find a working strain in this country. Here some pictures of my dogs on left is miniature black/tan Jack Russell in middle is a 9 month old 3/4 Teckel x Patterdale and on right pure Teckel. I know the pup still has a little maturing to do but is a good 2”-3” lower than the Jack, and mostly get under a pallet. If all else fails get a stick and poke them out.
  16. First picture is 3050 and 10mm lead Second picture is 2040/1632 cocktail and 8mm steel Third picture is Orange dub dub and 9.5mm steel
  17. you won’t get much cheaper than these setup?
  18. Never mind a book, GPS tracker is a necessity, they will follow any scent most of the time with deaf ears. Happy hunting???
  19. No you will have it double them up (looped) should be good out to 25+metre, it a heavy draw mind, if you want just singles better look at Orange or Green dub dub or 5070 tube.
