  1. Try Suffolk slingshot catapult great frames just need to change elastic cause it tbg to a more modern band set. I'm currently shooting his miniature raptor model and for me it great. Small , solid grip even with big hands and a very good reference point to aim with.?
  2. Had one about 27years ago, got her from a man in Langley Park Co.Durham seen both parents sire was a Border and bitch was a Lakeland. She was the best working dog I have ever owned in 46 years fantastic nose find anything anywhere from a mouse to a deer, work above and below ground, scared of nothing and had a good wire coat the only downside was she was a little on the large side. Sadly missed but never forgotten. Great cross sadly not seen to often nowadays ?
  3. Try Celtic Cattys or WASP slingshot
  4. Teckel finally gets his rabbit. Has to work single handed at moment so fines it hard to catch but preserverence pays off
  5. You hardly know it in your hand so sweet to shoot
  6. Purchase this small frame off eBay add the gypsy tabs and looped 1632. It is the sweetest little slingshot I have shot in years and accurate o boy is it accurate with 8mm steel. I wish more of the slingshot shops would stock this kind of frame.
  7. My heart goes out to you Shortstraw robbing t.... . Never mention insurance it's a licence to print money and that came from a vet I know when I worked on the farms. I have a small Jack Russell at 16 weeks old he developed a cough, took him to vets and I was told it was a bad heart murmur and would cost hundreds just to see a specialist, I turn round and said it was kennel cough, having had dogs with it before. He said it wasn't even though he had check him over a few weeks early when he had his second vaccination and never mentioned hearth murmur. My response was it would cost me the price o
  8. They won't look at plugs, toby's, mepps or flying 'C'. Not many people use Devon Minnow on are stretch of river they are a lure. which is dying out and to find a good Devon minnow now a days is getting hard each year. Jackies, Mchardy 's ,Lane and Spey sprat are no longer available. The only place I can get good Devon's is John Norris and Spintec in Cumbria. Extra movement (sideward) can be achieved by removing the mount and running the shell on some slightly heavier mono a bead then the hook.?
  9. Rapala , mepps and toby's don't get fish attention were I'm fishing devon's and Blair spoons are the only this worth trying waters low and warm, not the best time to fish
  10. Down the river early this morning hoping to catch a salmon but nothing in the usually places, had seen some seatrout lying up so removed salmon setup and tied on a Brown/Gold Devon minnow and cast upstream on the retrive the typical bow wave follow right to my feed 2m behind the Devon Minnow. Cast out again and again same thing happen, change to a Gold/Black and still the same , changed to Blue/Silver and the same happened again and again just wounded if they are following government guidance on social distancing????
  11. Two grand for a Bedlington and the problems they have with copper toxic absolutely insane price. Tackel have big ears but they are just as deaf especially when on the sent, 10mms clay ball and a catapult usually gets his attention???. But the amount of game they find is way more than any terrier or spaniel . I know one thing I will not buy another dog but a Tackel now.
  12. Bought one a couple of weeks ago cause everyone was saying how good they were. Lt is bigger than what I normally shot with. It shoot straight but well low?, I'll have to work on it.
  13. Out with dog and catty every day, had terriers for the last 44 years but the prices are just pure greed and the for the people which are paying these prices, they are just fueling the situation. My present dog is a tackel and what a good worker, determined, stamina, hell of a nose and the ability to go through the heavist of cover, if only I had a .410 to shoot over him we would have some cracking time. The only down side is that I've had to buy a GPS tracker to find him sometime.?
  14. I'm sticking with tubes far easier, tried tying some of that Celtic cattys blue band so fragile I ended up giving up
  15. Lol So it is.better out my glasses on next time?
  16. Fishing for rabbit with a tackel lol?
  17. Mine will talk when I come in from work or if the want to go out hunting he can be a real pain until he has been following a sent.
  18. I'm luck mine doesn't wake up till 5am. But when he's up I have to get up or he becomes a pain in the butt?
  19. Least you know what damage to expect when you hit the target?????
  20. There no stopping them tackels I've had to buy a GPS tracker for mine
  21. I though I was the only one to do that when shooting bare back style???
  22. Out the two which is the better. The reason I ask is that I have a tackel 14 months old and personal I think they are better than terriers and yes I have had terrier for over 40 years and can sayI have only had one terrier over that time that was as good at finding as the tackel is.
  23. How do you fish the worm, under a float, freeline or ledges and what type of worm are you using?
