I fancy a night away for me and 1 other to London. ....... we'll be going from Swindon to Paddington. I don't want to spend a fortune this close to Christmas and, I'd rather avoid all the over commercialised shite. At the moment, I'm thinking a show, dinner and somewhere nice to kip, all in one area so that that I'm looking at fairly short cab rides or walks to get around. ........ preferably somewhere that's proper London with proper people, if such a thing still exists ? Any advice will be appreciated

There's definitely a hint of Christmas in this house today - she's been making mince pies and pickled eggs She's had 2 mince mixes sitting at the back of the cupboard for a few months - one made with butter, the other more traditional with suet. Both with loads of brandy ......... She thought the suet one's seemed dryer - to me, the buttery ones tasted more boozy.

To be completely honest, I haven't got a feckin' clue what to do with my vote at the moment. They're all looking like a bunch of crooked shysters. You couldn't vote for Corbyn. At least, any true nationalist couldn't - he's a left wing nightmare. At the moment, I believe that we need something more right leaning to get this country more toward being back on track. Yep, that's the way that I know to sort it. You can also use inline filters on the tap supplies to reduce the salt. Apart from that, you'll just have to move. .......... We noticed the difference moving from Reading to Swindon (only 45 miles). The water here is shite - you can taste and feel the difference.

I've said similar for a long time. Our lot don't chase payments for health tourism like they should - they hemorrhage money through ineffective departments allowing other governments to give us ? I'd happily pay less tax in exchange for proving that I have my own health insurance in place. .......... there's a world of difference between private hospitals and the NHS. Not a popular opinion but, f**k it, at least I'd only be paying for a decent service for me and mine.
