  1. Sorry to hear this Iain. ........ My condolences to you all - I hope you manage to give them a good Christmas mate. Atb
  2. I don't know much about bows but, I know you've done well to get a Hoyt for free I'd go for one of those backstops that looks like a load of foam sheets stacked up and clamped, maybe even put a couple of sheets of 18mm ply behind - some of those bows can have a lot of power. Good luck with it
  3. How is South Africa holding up since the ANC decided to kick out white farmers?
  4. No worries What you've got is a very cheap, generic Chinese scope. It looks very similar the ones that SMK supply over here. I reckon the instruction leaflet is also something that they probably put in with a couple of different models. .......... I don't think that other knurled ring actually serves any purpose - other than maybe being something that the people in the factory can hold when they screw it together. I think the only adjustments you have are the turrets and the magnification. .......... remember, it's a $37 scope - they have to make i
  5. It's amazing what the doctors can do now mate - I wish her a full recovery Good luck and all the best to you all
  6. The money grabbing lawyer, the antiBritish communist and, a couple of black power salutes Corbyn's probably got that picture on his mantelpiece, the c**t ?
  7. Yes, I'm watching the interview now - he's coming across all wrong. Denying everything, trying to talk like a politician, speaking like he's been briefed to get this distanced from the Royal family. Watching this, I think he's a wrong 'un. Proper slimey.
  8. Definitely more for a show - I don't think either of us would enjoy an opera much. Old rock n roll is good. She loves the Rat Pack
  9. I appreciate the idea mate but, that's what we usually do - pack a bag, pick a direction and drive and, end up somewhere on the coast. ......... we do enjoy it. I just fancy something different this time and, I think she'll enjoy it
  10. Honestly, I have no idea mate - the last time I went was a panto while I was still at school. I don't fancy one of the small scale trendy things or, anything too political. .......... apart from that, I'm pretty open minded - I saw a few ads a while back for the Lion King stage show, that looked pretty good
  11. I hear that Jimmy Savile's old gaff is free at the moment - maybe he could crash there next time
  12. Thank you for the recommendations, it's always appreciated from those that know ........ we're looking at going eary/mid December so, there's time to plan something nice. There's not really any thing specifically that we're into so, I imagine whatever happens will be a nice treat
  13. I remember seeing this in the news when it happened. ......... they definitely f****d up by messing about on his patch I'm glad he's being recognised for his actions - it's well deserved.
  14. I get the feeling that I should probably give that one a miss mate
  15. No mate - it's getting to the point where he'll just kop for some old fashioned teaching if he carries on ? I can go back on the tools and earn more than that lot pay. I'm seriously considering it.
  16. Best way mate ........ the older I get, the more cynical I get. If knob heads want to make silly decisions, let them - as long as I get paid and me and mine are ok, f**k 'em
  17. f****n' hell mate - they must be paying a good wage for people to work in that it looks a bit like the Kennet Island development back home in Reading - it's all built on flood plains but, they're always surprised when it floods
  18. That'd be my best guess - some of those bricks still have black on them.
  19. You're not having to work in that are you mate?
  20. Have a look at loft tanks Phil. .......... you can usually get them from plumbers/builders merchants
