  1. Bring back child labour, my kids all had part time jobs as did I, now they can’t even do a Saturday in a shop until they are 16, I blame the nanny state, if no one fed and watered them they could get off there lard arses and sort themselves out or die, winner winner
  2. Until you boil the wasters and dossers up for glue, degeneration will continue with every new generation. If some of these couples were dogs you would have them pts or at least sterilised, but we encourage them to breed with the offer of more benefit and a council house, if your fit healthy and mentally sound you should always be able to make a living, no excuse
  3. A few nice young stinging nettles and half a dozen eggs your on your way to a nice omelette there, FairPlay to the dog nice to see ?
  4. I think the trees still expel most of the moisture from themselves at this time of year as you can still tap it out of them in March when they are sucking it all up to feed the new growth I just find to many nice forks cut in summer will split during the drying period plus being an old fecker I’ve probably got sticks drying that will never become cattys so I’m not desperate, if I was stuck I’d cut one at anytime of the year and microwave the juice out, but I’m not in any rush so can do it the easiest hassle free way ?
  5. If you give some of the poorest in the country a massive hand out they would buy beer ,fags, drugs and a bmw, you can’t help the feckless, everyone of those food bank idiots that get interviewed on telly have an iPhone and a gold chain, if you don’t have mental health issues no one in this country should be in poverty, I grew up in poverty as in 4 of us in a one room bedsit and I despise most of the people I now see claiming poverty, as they are just lazy feckless tossers who want to blame everyone bar themselves, I,ll get my coat now

f**k that a couple of raspberry’s soaked in ethanol ain’t my ideal of vodka and should be avoided at all costs, ?
  7. Like anything else sandy it’s good info if your for vaccination if you have doubts it’s totally useless, it’s by a parent led pro vaccine group, so the outcomes of any of there research is only going to go one way, any survey carried out were there is money involved always comes out in favour of those that pay for it, that’s just the way the world works, it’s up to every parent to do as much research as possible and follow what they think is right, as with everything else in life be a Shepard not a sheep, ?
  8. Also the time of year is very important, I have an old woodsman book here somewhere when hazel was grown for making sticks and pegs etc and it’s always cut from December to February because trees loose most of there moisture during this time to stop them freezing, so if I cut forks from living trees it’s only during this period and have never had one split, but as you say I mostly cut from fallen trees I see around ?
  9. Little male spar spotted on my walk this weekend not a great shot but nice to see ?
  10. A girl I know is married to a detective now retired, he was involved some years ago in a big case of a girl that disappeared from a nightclub near Bristol in a place called yate, if you look on google earth its a village surrounded by quarry,s, it’s much bigger now as are most villages, anyway she was dumped in one of the quarry workings and found two weeks later, but what you don’t see on the news is they found a few bones a scull and some clothes, the rest had been consumed by Fox’s and badgers, most carcasses I find are totally gone in under a week so I don’t think dead birds last very long
  11. I see your having the same problem as me, stuttering internet, yes those blokes are absolute beauts on those programs ones to fat to walk a 100 yards, but what a good way of snuffing out any serious conversations about a subject it’s a tactic used for years make the person or subject a laughing stock and everything and anything they ever say can be discredited, a simple tactic used for years
  12. Yes and half of them are in uniform, ?
  13. I keep a box in my garage, when I am out on my travels any decent dead forks I find on fallen trees etc I cut them bigger than needed and chuck them in the box, live trees I only cut during December, jan and February because they hold very little water at this time of year and won’t split when they dry out, then I just pick one out when I’m bored and make a catty, last one I made the fork had been cut and dried for about 3years, if you cut a fresh one and can’t wait you can force dry it by chucking it in a micro wave for 2/3 minutes and always give them a few good hard pulls away from your ey
  14. When your wasp arrives draw round the fork on a piece of paper then cut round it on the wood, only trouble with cutting from board is the grain can split and you could loose an eye, in a tree fork the grain splits naturally up each fork and remains strong, on plywood the lamination stops the wood splitting but straight grain is dangerous even in the hardest wood
  15. Yes all that’s well and good wilf, but how many likes has he got on face book or YouTube, that’s the real measure of a man ?
  16. Oh, the old where’s the body line, Have you ever came across a human body on your travels, I believe 2000 people a year vanish be really hard to miss, my flat mate went missing when I was 21 still no body to this day, I no he died in Scotland but 37 years later he’s still there somewhere, I,m not saying for one minute I think there are any Bigfoot type critters running around here but I could be wrong, on a very small densely populated island a 9ft hair covered bloke might struggle to hide, Would also say that being a bit of a wanderer I have been followed by some strange people when I’m ro
  17. Another lovely piece of work mr Wilkes, ?
  18. Heard two different story’s, one it had no owner and has been sent to a park the other said an owner came forward and has claimed it, but I do think it’s a pet legally kept or not ?
  19. Indeed it was mate, long story short I was quite involved with mike over a few years but he turned out to be a bit of a backstabbing wanker, another reason for my love of canal fishing, no politics and loads of space to get out the way of it all
  20. Have been fishing canals for donkeys years, they all have carp in, it’s just up to you to find them, as we are a bit bored and stuck in here are a few from the last 20 odd years, the little girl in the photo when I had hair is my daughter she’s now over 30 with 2 kids, I,ve tried to include some with locks or boats in so you know I,m not fibbing ?
  21. I thought hummingbird moth when I first saw it, ?
  22. No I think that’s very fair and I’d like to extend a massive thank you to them for the£590 a month they have decided me and my wife are entitled to during these hard times ???
  23. If you no nothing at all about catty,s a full kit like this is a good starting point, the scout mentioned above is one of the easiest Catty,s to get on with I think and you can buy snides off eBay for around a tenner but you will then need a couple of decent band sets to go with it, I put this pic in the other thread both of these are under a tenner on eBay the one on the right is exactly the same as the scout but cost £8 it’s a great easy to shoot frame
