  1. 16 subspecies of the same cat quite an amazing creature that's adapted to different environments, my old mate the guy that's canoeing in Canada has a wicked close up photo of a black jaguar which he took when he travelled the Amazon many moons before ed Stafford was even heard of, it's on the wall over the toilet in his house, all he had was an old shotgun a machete and a folding canoe with no way of contacting the outside world, his name is John Harrison and he wrote a book called off the map about his trip have a look think you,d like it he,s a pretty amazing guy, thanks for the link I,ll h
  2. Get a load of empty plastic milk cartons and fill them with water then cable tie them to the eyelets on your tarps along the bottom edge, it will stop them flapping or blowing off in the wind sorry i,m a bit flat out busy myself for the next week or so or I,d come over, keep your chin up and let me no if I can do anything to help mate ?
  3. I,m not a prepper but I am prepared, just because I,m a bit old and crusty and occasionally I can't make it back home, I have enough gear to keep me alive over night in a small rucksack I take everywhere and I have enough stuff in my van to survive a good week if I had to, the funniest thing with them Preppers is the amount of battery,s they stockpile, make a bowdrill and learn to use it because making fire is more important than having a torch, they also stock pile tins instead of learning to kill clean and cook wild animals, being a prepper to most is just a fashion thing like being a vegan
  4. Trouble is mate roofers are going to be at a premium with all this weather both price and time wise, do you no any scaffolders that could get you a couple of lifts up ? at least if you can get up there you could get a few tarps over the roof to prevent further damage,
  5. Think it may have used up a few of its nine lives at the least, but when you see that thing move across the ground it does make me chuckle when people suggest hound packs would have put them up if they were here, even the first one if the camera was,nt there not a single person would be aware of what happened to the dog in a busy street in broad daylight, they are such incredible things absolute masters of there enviroment, ?
  6. Another clue, I,m looking for an oap with a bus pass and a insatiable hatred of cats, the net tightens ?
  7. Will do mate, I,m not saying a big cat is responsible but things like this need to be looked at with openness, when the people involved start popping up saying the authority,s have asked them not to talk to the media it just gets the rumour mill going into overdrive,
  8. there is an increasing number of cat owners coming forward that have been asked not to talk with the media by the police over this matter or share specific details about how the cats died, I,m going to fire off some emails over the weekend to see if I can get some photo,s of the carnage, I think the main issue is the people involved have already solved the case in there minds so are not looking for anything else, were as the 400 cats may have met there end through more than one means, one case I,m quite interested in is a Bengal cat that was torn to bits in its garden as these things are big
  9. Think he,s cracking a joke mate ??
  10. I think it's because they don't actively hunt anymore so don't need to overpower or chase anything, fitting in a bin is more important plus a smaller body requires less fuel, and looking at some of the beasts coming out of Maccy D,s and kfc I,d think if it was diet related they,d be more like hippo,s than fox,s ?
  11. I,m in Bristol right next to the docks and I no of 8 peregrine nesting sites within less than 10 miles of my house and I don't really look for them, mind you I love watching them circling miles above my house much more than all the ferals we have shitting everywhere that are all rung or descended from lofts even though they offer a good bit of urban hunting, used to shoot sack loads as a kid and get a few quid back for the rings from the pigeon club, can you still do that?
  12. If your car has a sunroof there are normally two drain holes in the runners, they run down the window pillars and out through the bottom, these often block and water finds its way into the car, wind the sunroof back and poke a length of stiff wire dawn the holes, this is the reason you see older motors with tape round the sun roof, easy fix if it is mate ?
  13. Interesting fact on urban fox,s, they have almost evolved into a subspecies and are roughly 40 percent smaller than there country cousins nowadays ?
  14. Nice one Pete, the amount of perigrine,s around me make it almost impossible to keep pigeons,
  15. Sorry to re ignite this thread, but a case I have been watching for a while in your area, known as the Croydon cat killer has reached its conclusion, with over 400 pet cats found mutilated in the last couple of years the police, RSPCA and other body,s have concluded they were all killed by fox,s or other predators with no human involvement, now I,ve seen plenty of fox,s sharing food in my garden with the local cats, I,ve seen loads of encounters were the fox gives a cat a wide birth and I,ve seen a domestic cat hand a fox his arse after a fair fight, so what other predator do we have with a ta

    Help

I think it's only 5 posts before acceptance is granted, 5 posts and £5 is all it takes not sure if a sense of humour is compulsory or optional but I,m sensing that one is not amused and seriously lacking in this department and most certainly won't be giving walshie a reach round or blowing his trumbone, so must accept his place at the back of the Que. ??
  17. Was just about to offer my services mate, may be worth a claim on your house insurance or if the roofer caused it a deduction in his final payment, even if your father in law sorts it foc, if you do go threw your insurance just get a couple of quotes and make sure your father in law is the cheapest, ceiling repair replasted and repainted if your quote is under a £1000 they will normally just pay out without even coming out to look ? At least all that rain should put a bit of flow and colour in the river ?
  18. Don't really care to be honest, two years of trash talking on YouTube to generate interest, ducking mandatory opponents at will, avoiding people that might hurt you and fighting shit to further your unbeaten streak seems the way forward and the heavier weights are the worst in decades, AJ, wilder, two belt holding chumpions that should be made to fight or stripped, George foreman fought 5 men in one night, these modern cash cow poster boys are barely doing that in two years, 130- 160lbish is about the most exciting boxing at the moment because they still have to earn there money, sorry boxing

  21. Don't no what all you northern monkeys are moaning about, I,ve just had to go outside in my house coat a slippers to stand the wheelie bin up, it's hell down here ??️?️
  22. Just finished hacking off for a big render job, last bit off and cleared up and the wind and rain are just getting started here looking like a bumpy night ahead but on the plus side told them I won't be in tomorrow due to the rain so I get a day out with the dogs, ?
  23. Apart from pikeys and arse lickers I don't think many people do like him, if you can make it out the gutter yourself you should have a little humility for those that can't, . Sadly the same people that have elevated him to were he is now will skin him like a turd when the belts and glamour have left
