  1. Second time round he was good, he is 4 yr old now doing the job nicely.
  2. Looks ok. I had my hob done twice, first time he was done failed he got all my Jill's pregnant, ontop of that they wanted to charge me again. I said, look I'm not here to pay for your apprenticeship, you shouldn't offer a service if you are not competent, there was no further mention of payment. Bloody cheek.
  3. Fantastic read. Well done, and thanks for sharing!
  4. I'd be sick, lost a dog years ago like that., last time I seen him he was chasing a roo in the light never seen him again, Hope you get him back
  5. I only see this in young ferrets from time to time, once they get use to you and know what it's about, they grow out of it. they are super keen, scared of you or playing. can be annoying! I let them walk clear of the burrow with all my young, then later you dont have to worry JMO
  6. pups ( called it fleet) got its eyes open now very cute
  7. How old was it? People make a mistake when they are young, not letting them walk clear before picking them up, it can teach them that habit usually they grow out of that
  8. I bought a new Jill ferret today off a friend of mine, surprised he parted with her, she is a 2 yr old and pregnant, we don’t see many of this long necked type any more, use to be loads of them around when I was a kid, I always liked them.
  9. Thats it, I'm calling you softy from now on, lol. just kidding buddy, No chance ,won't keep the weather off them, and I would rather fall on a box than one of my workers
  10. We use to use hessian sacks. I bet you don't use them now ?
  11. I left her indoors 5 year ago, now whenever I consider a relationship, I punch myself in the face, question my sanity, and buy another dog
  12. Few of the nets were getting a bit grubby, so I threw them in the dishwasher not too bad
  13. This made me laugh. There is only three real reasons I can see to use a sack 1 – you are broke 2 you are a tight arse 3 soft in the head
  14. Nets are made, and on there way Cheers Bill thz mate
  15. Good news Yes, I like happy endings
  16. No good mate, thz for the warning. Hope she gets better
  17. Yesterday while walking the dogs, they chased a couple of rabbits that made good their escape, this morning I was better equipped with the ferrets, nets, and dogs, they weren’t so lucky.
  18. Really like this pup, will be good to watch see how she turns out, will have great feet by the look of her, won't see her break down to often.
  19. My dog Kass was injured and hasn’t been out for a bit, so I took her out with zip early this morning, for a run at a local spot before the forecasted 35 Celsius set in, seen a few rabbits and managed one, not easy here as they get hit hard by locals walking here, but you do get a few out in the open at night and early morning if you are the first one out, I have seen the odd hare here every now and then.
  20. Works a treat Ken, I stole the idea of course, but I haven’t seen anyone else use it for their ferrets, until recommended. No wonder so many people lose them to heat stroke over here, including myself but I learned the hard way, lost a whole line of ferrets one year, been using the mist ever since.
