  1. Introducing- Fleet - 7/8 Whippet x Staghound (Deerhound x Greyhound) Picked up Young fleet yesterday so this young mans journey is just beginning, I look forward to watching him mature, and progress. Fun times ahead for both dog and man!
  2. Leaving now to get the pup Enjoy ya day/night L8R
  3. Lol will be 28 Celsius today and its Autumn, I’m wearing track pants unless it gets above 30
  4. Murray cod, Trout cod, carp, and Golden perch amongst others
  5. Me to mate, been about 6 years since I’ve had two sound running dogs up and going at once, I really enjoy daytime stuff with two. Fun times ahead once the pup is going too
  6. I agree mate, most of my life i have run 2 up, so I hear ya. Will be good when the pup starts to work with Zip they learn to work off each other too.
  7. I usually run two, I love watching them work as a team, and you are right two is better than one. The brown bitch has her uses, but running them down isn’t one of them.
  8. Thanks mate! It’s a 16 hour drive round trip, so I’m going to camp overnight on the Murray River at Albury, and throw the lines in, a lot of fish in that area, also taking the other two dogs for company. I will be a happy chappie!
  9. Took the dogs out for a quick hour to a local spot, I didn’t expect too much, the rabbits here get hit pretty hard and are educated or dead. I put the nets on one hole without success, ferrets killed it underground’ no chance of digging that ground, tried a few more with no nets and mooched around a bit Dogs got a few runs a couple of close calls but the rabbits all won the day. Sometimes the ones that get away are the best to watch, was another fun walk with the dogs and ferrets. PS Pick up the new pup Fleet tomorrow can't wait.
  10. Nice mate you could of gutted them
  11. Wow that worked fast, one whole cow done the trick thanks
  12. Yes pure Australian bred Whippet
  13. My dog is so good, it doesn’t have to chase prey anymore, the mere sight of him scares all prey to death instantly, just on reputation alone
  14. We don't use them in Australia, well very rarely, tried and tested, the staghound is a sounder dog, much prefered for our ground.
  15. I have seen this in some pit bulls, the one we have that suffers from a simulair thing, she would break out in small lumps not just on her feet, that eventually scab if left. The condition was difficult to diagnose, coconut oil helped, in the end it was diet related changed her food to mainly raw fixed it. Good luck with it.
  16. Well done pup, looking good mate a.t.b with her. Pick up my new pup next week
  17. Hey guy’s hope all are well, I was back at Ron’s this week for another very enjoyable day, I always love coming here, the ferreting opportunities are vast and varied, a banquette of variety, as per usual we caught a few, and missed a few. I pick up my new pup, Fleet next week, so another chapter starts for me, and an exciting life lies ahead for this young dog, I love watching the pup’s learn and progress, just as Zip now 2, and Kass 6 have over the years, wow how time flies. Enjoy Life Guy’s take care A.T.B - Doug
  18. I do a lot on my own, and we don't dig much here, so waiting is part and parcel of ferreting hard ground, thankfully it's not all that often, and we dont lose many strangely enough. here is a clip I took from today never had to wait, was a good day out, a bit windy and the rabbits weren't bolting too easy, will post a video later.
