  1. I just had a set of med on my 110k with a 44mm objectiev but as I recall, there was plenty of room as the weaver rail is well clear of the barrel. Phil
  2. Cat food, peanut butter, jam, honey, sweet corn........................................or find out what they are eating and put more of that down but whatever you use try to place it in a safe area such as under the edge of a pallet or make your own shelter and leave it in place for a few days. Rats will always try to take their food into a safe area. My dairy farm perm where rats were in plentyful supply were climbing into the cattle feed troughs so they were very easy to shoot but in many cases you need to outwit them as these little buggers are not stupid even to the point that we had
  3. I simply cannot agree with you there matey for the reasons already given. Badgers are hugely destructive to anything in their path and control is needed, we have so many badgers in our area it is astonishing and needs some government intervention to put some control on them. THEY are what causes wildlife to disapear not pheasants....... Phil
  4. Can't you find another Si, I need a cheap sub 12 pcp. Phil
  5. I would have swapped places happily Jimmy, we had a monster of a thunder storm with about 10 seperate seriously heavy downpours, a few places in the village flooded or I should say the streets were but just for a change, we were fine, no flooding around our cottage today thankfully. Long may it continue. Phil
  6. Yes Ben but there is no need to be so frigging cutting and tell everyone.........................I know my waist size ? ? ? ? Phil
  7. HW110k in .22 was mouse fart quiet. Phil
  8. I have had one for about three years now and find them to be excellent although I don't use the two point rest, not very good in my opinion but never go out without the tripod. As for shooting prone, yes spot on just cant get back up again for fecks sake ? Phil
  9. Nice going NP and what a lovely morning to have a wander. Phil
  10. Agreed Alsone, barley straw is effective on blanket weed but very very slow to work. A good 'Y' blade cutter will soon rid any pond of heavy weed. Phil
  11. Just think how much that bloody lot cost and the cost of a big carp can run into the thousands as well. Nice looking lake Si, is that where you were going today if you weren't feeling so OLD. ? Phil
  12. The Hawke Compact do have IR
  13. Hawke Airmax Compact range. I have one and can confirm that they are superb, my shooting partner also has one which is highly regarded. I have mine on a springer and he has one on his Impact fac. Not cheap but well worth the money. Phil
  14. Just checked Jake, it is the 18650 cell.
  15. I think they are standard 18650 cells Jake, that you can buy from ebay or any E-cig vape shop such as these. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2505460.m570.l1311.R1.TR12.TRC2.A0.H1.X18650+batteries.TRS0&_nkw=18650+batteries&_sacat=0 Hope that is right, they are 65mm x 18m dia. Phil
  16. Thanks SL but I don't think the guy has been back on since so a bit of a waste really, never mind, one of those things. Phil
  17. Looks like you popped on a MTC Mamba scope on your hmr Stav. Nice reticle but I find them to flare out white when in changing light. Still got one left mind. Phil
  18. I know what you mean Mitch as my hw110k performed really well when I took it out but my mistake as I bought a .22 and struggled with holdover after running the Impact for the previous 3 years or is it 4 years, never mind, next time it will be a .177 then it might get more use. Phil
  19. I nearly said, over a hundred but thought that might seem silly .................................................... WOW John, that is some collection. Phil
  20. A touchy subject, badgers are a powerful and deadly killer of anything it can get it's claws on. We have a big chicken farm close to me where the farmer was convinced it was foxes killing his birds until I set up the trail camera, then he knew what was killing his chickens. They are protected and that is that, although it makes me laugh when the general public think they are cute and only eat snails etc, if only they knew and watched one ripping a hedgehog into pieces while the poor little bugger is screaming out loud, I have, very upsetting to be honest. Nasty b%stards and should be culle
  21. Ah yes, Mid Wales Shooting Ground, that is the one I meant not North Wales. Good on yer Meece. Phil
  22. What is that white thing at the top of the first photo DB. I had a look at one yesterday in the rfd and agree they are a bit on the heavy side but if on a bipod or tripod, it would okay in a static position was my own thought. Phil
  23. How many rifles have you got John .................................................................... I will have a bet there are quite a few. Phil
