  1. You are very welcome Jimmy and I am pleased they are working for you. I used these in my old Rapid fac and they were devastatingly accurate but never got round to trying them in sub 12 so now that you have had some decent results, I am going to try them in my 110k along with the hades samples I have got. I only use my 110k for short range shooting, not because it is crap but simply because my go to rifle is the Impact so I tend to use it around the farm building for rats and ferals so it will be interesting to see how they perform. I also never had issues with damaged skirts on these
  2. The problem is the rubber will not sand down to be smooth so causing the pad to drag on your chothes, I know believe me. Have a look on ebay for a Sundridge Sleep Skin which is a thermal under suit worn next to your skin, it is fantastic and you will not need loads of gear on top. I am not sure if they are still made but I put several friends onto them and they can only rave about them being so good but not restrictive at all. Just looked on the bay of plenty, here you go. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=sundridge+sleep+skin+therma
  3. Be a man and stop wearing loads of clothes. ? Have you checked with your rfd to see if they produce a winter pad as a number of Italian companies do so in other words the gun comes with a thicker summer pad and a slimmer winter pad. Might be worth a call to Edgar Brothers. Phil
  4. That quarry looks a very handy place Si for test work with a fair old distance to play in. Phil
  5. Well done at least you got one. I was out last night but there were no rats, no rabbits and no way was I going to stay out for very long in the freezing fog. Phil
  6. As a matter of interest Billy, what sort of range is well suited to .25 in sub 12 because of the pellet drop. Phil
  7. Thank you but not going that route until the back end of 2020 as there are a number of new bell target venues to be sorted next year and I am not going to get a gun for the job until I know it has all been sorted. Phil
  8. In the UK we shoot rabbits, pigeon, squirrels and corvids so no large stuff. The Grizzlys must suit your gun very well because my impact couldn't produce a 2'' group at 25mt every time so clearly not suited to the barrel and villaman also shoots an Impact so perhaps the FX barrels do not like them which is surprising as most of the slug testing has been done by FX owners in different countries so you would think the Grizzly would have also worked. From your forum name, I assume you are also shooting an FX gun so why they work for you but not us, I don't know. Which gun and power (fpe) ar
  9. I have a couple of bedchairs made by Trakker in Sheffield and these had the wheels so you could put a fair bit of gear on the chair and wheel it along. Now to be honest I didn't rate them and gave away the the wheels to a pal who may still have them but I doubt it although I will check for you. What make is the bedchair you have. Use photobucket to upload photos and you should be okay. Phil
  10. Okay hit me Mitch, how much and is it any good in my original Impact that doesn't have an X barrel. Phil
  11. I totally agree, If I cannot get a good group on paper targets at 25mt and every distance beyond that, then I would never use them on live quarry. If they work for you, great but they do not work for us. Phil
  12. Very nice job and I like your clogs ? Phil
  13. Okay, where do I get some from boys. Phil
  14. You have a very different performance with the Grizzly pellet/slug than I had. In my Impact 47fpe the Grizzly was without doubt the worse result from all the pellet tests I did and would never use them on live quarry as they were so bad. Phil
  15. Hmmm I must say these have more interest to me than an hmr and something I will look into next year. I will check if I can find anyone local who has one for me to try out. Phil
  16. Forest Lodge Guns have a nice .22 laminated stock Savage in s/h stock which looks really nice but not so sure about Savage. I am not going to jump as it is not something I need, it is more like something I fancy for hares and fox. Phil
  17. What do you use the hornet on RFB and which one is it. Phil
  18. Neither. I have been shooting for over 50 years so when I tell you that this gun had high recoil then please believe me, it had nothing whatsoever to do with the person shooting it. Altogether 5 experienced clay shooters of some standing all found the gun to have high recoil using their standaed cartridges. Any experienced shooter would be checking gun fit from the outset and as for leaning backward, leave it out pal. My wife is an established clay shooter and in particular trap shooting so you are talking about someone who has shot for over 25 years, don't you think we would be aware of the
  19. I think I paid £65 for the Air Arms front and rear sight about three years ago which is very similar to the RFB's Gammo version. They are all the same until you go high end as per the link BUT of course I knew a man of your means could afford them and would demand them. Phil
  20. Poor manufacturing tolerances I am guessing which is not what I would expect from Eley. Phil
  21. Air Arms sell the sights Rez, I had them on my old AA200T but if you really want true match sights, fill yer boots here :- https://www.intershoot.co.uk/acatalog/Rearsights.html Phil
  22. Very handy SD. I have on a number of times nearly bought a 3 bore garden gun for close up vermin but just never got round to buying one but this combination seems to work well for you, not so good for the tree rats. Phil
  23. I bought a semi auto shotgun a couple of weeks ago and having a need for lubrication on the bolt system, I started a search. Shotgun cartridges can leave residue which would stick to any oil, grease, silicone spray coating causing in effect a grinding paste so the need to find a dry lube has had me researching products available. Okay this is not the powder burner section but nevertheless there are applications for air rifles as well, in fact anywhere you think dry lube will benefit your equipment. The product I eventually bought is the one in the photo and I can tell you, I am impressed,
