Lovely photos there, did CW take them? excellent pictures
Well I'm glad Dusty is coming along well, and no better master to learn from than Tegan
Seems there is still a few of them killer rabbits around!
Derek you are absolutely correct, and in our small rough fields, a fox can be gone in a second, leaving a slow dog bewildered. I think in Ireland for sure, the fast lightly built dogs, with a quick kill, are the best.
filthy peddler!
Lads this is mild in comparison to some peddling baxtards we have over here.
I met a young lad a few times in my local town, he claims to have a shed full of 25 "slooki hounds", and he regularly sells them for 300 - 500 euros
They are flea infested skinny dogs, that never see the light of day. Supposedly some of the best coursing blood in Ireland
I have a five Goldfish. (3 orange comets, a natural colour comet, a shubunkin), and a small Roach without a tail fin.
I had a crayfish for a few years. A very entertaining creature
And a Jackdaw years ago which was brilliant
Hi everyone,
I recently saw "A FEW FERRETS MORE", and was totally impressed with Tegan. In my opinion she is a phenomenon. So if you want to see her buy the DVD!

harehound, as Blue One says, there is a proven strain; that is what I would go with. Seen them work and they are deadly
Talk to Blue One, perhaps he can sort you out.
She is a real lurcher that one Stabs
Incidentally 12 Oct was my greyhound bitch, Cásca, birthday as well, she turned 4. Time flies when you are having fun
Lets hope the next generation will be just as good a worker and hunting partner for you.
no fishercats here in UK, Ireland or Europe as far as I know.
I think they are protected in US for the most part. Cool creatures. I have seen one once in US.
The nearest we have here would be the Pine Marten.
All Irish SPCA's are charitys with no legal power, they can only tresspass with a GardaÃ. Don't let them in, they are have no right, they are just plain nosey.
The guy was probably taking a photo of your rosettes to see where the working dog shows are being held. These people are very crafty, thieves, sly liers. They will usually try every trick in the book to take the dogs off of you. I wouldn't be surprised if your dogs get stolen soon
I was out duck hunting with my collie lurcher there recently. As I walked the shoreline, my lurcher ran off on a scent and when I found him he had a vixen cornered. He was mixing with it, but I could see it was going to be a prolonged ordeal. I had the shotgun, so changed cartridges to a heavy load, and when I had a clear shot I dispatched the fox cleanly. Job done, I moved on to hunt some duck.
Unfortunately some lurchers are bred from untested track bitches, bred from and discarded.
Here is a good video as demonstration, I know its park coursing, but it shows you how greyhounds run. Poor greyhound fecks up his leg at 1:27
