    Brexit

EU offering to extend article 50 again ffs. Talk about kicking it down the road, shows how desperate they are to hang on to us and our money. Need some end date to this to force everybody's hand, this is getting bloody ridiculous. Cheers Arry
  4. Brilliant. Stokes was ace. Cheers Arry
  5. You can trip them mate, this means the chain goes to the Botton of the anchor and you tie a weak link to the top of the anchor which if you're stuck you steam around and break the weak link. Most times small boat fishing is done over clear ground so it's not a problem, but a string of pots can be a bugger if you get hitch in them. If you do get stuck in a bit of rough ground or a snag you steam around in circles hope you get if out, alway handy if you have a mate that can dive. Cheers Arry
  6. Looks the dog bollocks that mate, the spit is a nice bit of kit you have there. Mouth is watering just looking at it. Cheers Arry
  7. Fishlocker do you have your anchor rope fixed to the boat? I used to do a lot of fishing in a Alaska 500 out of Dartmouth, Salcombe and Torbay. One of our favourite target species were Blond Ray and Small Eyed Rays. Sometimes if we had a big Ray on and could not get it back to the boat we would what we called "Dan Off", uncleat the anchor rope and let the boat drift. If we were catching we would have already have marked the anchor rope at the cleat by untwisting the rope enough to put a piece of cored through. Back to the boat drifting and the rope paying out, if the rope came to an end then t
  8. I use a Panasonic FZ150 mate 24x zoom. It has got few buttons etc but they all have. You could just use it on auto though until you get used to it. I find it good not as good as a digital SLR, but I can't afford one of those with the lens I would like. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/401769317928 You will find one cheaper shopping around. Cheers Arry
  9. I recon one of SHH's the John Dory is the top eating fish but you need a decent size one. Cheers Arry

  12. I'm surprised I suppose never been in contact with any guys further north than me. It's so bloody dry down here Jok we had no rain again for weeks. Pulled up a lettuce the other night no moister all it was like dust. Recon you will still be picking after ours have gone over, so in balances out. Cheers Arry
  13. That is so close to the conversation I had over the garden fence to another gardener. Cheers Arry
  14. There a bloke selling switches 2 for £6 on Ebay mate. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ferret-Finder-On-Off-Switch-2X/283446129226?hash=item41feb4b24a:g:1FAAAOSwCuBcXTP3 I would say about 9 time out of 10 with the MK1 it's the on/off depth switch. Cheers Arry
  15. No mate there's a what I think is a resisting carbon horse shoe shaped piece I've repaired a couple like that by replacing the switch. If you take the small screw out of the centre of the on/off switch, remove the wheel. Then remove the circuit board, now under where the wheel is a orange or white plastic washer carefully remove that, you should now see a copper y shaped brush running on what looks like carbon. Have a look with a magnifying glass see if you can see a hair line crack in the carbon. If you can't you could try cleaning the carbon very carefully with a cotton bud and a small amou
  16. Update. First feed of runners. Had them with sausages a mash with gravy. I get impatient waiting for them and you can see them coming, they were bloody handsome. Cheers Arry
  17. Your right FF there are two adjustable pots that can be tweaked, But if he's only getting 3' then I recon the resisting horse shoe inside the on / off dept switch is is fractured mate. Cheers Arry

Hope for the same Si. Hope he puts a team (squad) of hard liners like Rabb and Davidson and few other that can all go together and kick some ass. Instead of old May trying to do it herself and folding. Cheers Arry
  19. Think your probably right Gaz when you say Wheel switch, you can get them off Ebay if you can solder. Have a look at the top of ferreting page, calibrating MK1 Cheers Arry

    Brexit

Seems the Labour Party are starting to show their real colours become a remain party. Traitors to the common man, another anti Democratic Party. I can just imagine it now Corbyn and Abbott leading the Labour Party followers in a long line singing the Hokey Cokey "In out in out". Cheers Arry
  21. I've no idea about Chowder Micky. Just like my cockles in a bit of vinegar, salt, black pepper with a well buttered door step of fresh bread. Cheers Arry
  22. Never heard of Cockle soup before but would defiantly give it a go. The poached egg thing I understand never seems right to me to have one with smoked haddock or kippers. Cheers Arry
