On the news this morning I was listening to that Jo Swinson spouting her treacherous gob off, they should rename the Lib-Dems "The Party Against The People". As for Steptoes crowd trying to create some kind of coup to stop a no deal. You're right Jonjon 79 they want to keep kicking down the road it every body gets fed up. Those traitors if they get their way will go sucking up to the EU please let us stay in, we will give you loads of money if you lets us stay. Christ they will fleece us if we do, they will never stop punishing us for trying (not hard mind) to leave. Cheers Arry

Had another cracking day I was over the moon with 12 Ceps 2 Horse Mushrooms a few Field mushrooms, Chanterelles and on top of that a Prince Mushroom and some Oyster Mushrooms. The Prince. Oyster Mushrooms. Bearing in mind my main target today was these Cep's in the fairly long grass. I thought what the feck is this at first. Yea it is a dogs ball but just for a minute I did wonder what I was looking at. Cheers Arry

Out today after the Fungi, went to a spot that has a few Wild Plum trees. They are small a bit bigger than a Slow but taste the same as a Victoria Plum. I picked a Chinese container for the wife, I might have to go back they make lovely jam. Cheers Arry

Six months is fine as said small places first, nice fresh burrows if you can something with a bit of scent. The way I look at it is if they were in the wild they would have to fend for them selfs at that age, its always worked for me. Cheers Arry

Another good haul plenty of "Field Mushrooms" about and "Chanterelles" but best of all some "Ceps". "Ceps" are already in the dehydrator. A Warning though found my first "Yellow Stainer" thought it was a button "Horse Mushroom". Yellow Stainer. Cheers Arry

I'm more of the way of thinking that is the way the bush/tree has been treated than the way is going to be treated. So if conditions are just right and there are loads of Bees around it fruits well. Cheers Arry

Would have given a like but they only gave me 2 today. Maybe the "Ivory funnel" deadly. I don't like little white ones with skinny stems, I'd pass on them mate. Does look a good sort of spot for Chanterelles though, there were loads of them coming last Thursday. Cheers Arry

Great write up Kev, your memory is clearer than mine of the first night, brought it all back though. Good banter, Good food, Bloody good fire, Good Beer etc and best of all Bloody Good company. Thanks to every one for making me feel welcome on my first comp. It was nice to put a faces to the handles so the speak. A really good weekend and can recommend it to any body who maybe can't decide wether to come or not. It's a fantastic venue and although very close to Exeter you would not know it, A little valley in the countryside. One thing I would like to say is how polite and well

Brilliant time we all pigged out on massive BBQ's every night especially Dan's special one on the last night that was true amazing meat. I think we all nearly drowned in different alcohol drinks. Great company. Oh and the fishing was good as well, lol. A really big thank you to Kev and the others that put so much effort in to making a fantastic week end. Cheers Arry
