Got to say I think I agree, it's a bit over rated. Steam some for two minutes in butter and lemon with bit of black pepper. Couple of Bass or Bream fillets would be spot on. Looks like you had a cracking day with the kids getting Lug. Cheers Arry

Nice write up fireman and GL photo's. Nice when a plan comes together. I'm sure that tasted as good as it looks. Oh by the way GL finding lots of Samphire up the estuary's, would have gone well with them Bass. Cheers Arry

A syndicate of bailiffs had when I was there must be 30 years ago. One was knocking out Pike after Pike as the water was just clearing, tried and tried to get him to let me have a go, stuffy twat kept saying oh I can't do that. So decided to tell him how I saw a nice Salmon must have been close to 20lb "oh we don't get them to that size in the Exe" Oh right I said. Walked away smiling it was 19lb 14oz Lol came out on reinforcing tying wire made into a snare. Cheers Arry

Theres a little village not far from me down river called Dittisham. In the 70's 80's all the retired Captains and Colonels moved in put up houses and bungalows that didn't fit in, probably giving a bung to planners. Then they got on the parish council and pasted a bylaw to say you are not aloud to put your washing out on a washing line ffs. Cheers Arry

Oh yea wifey loves the Sun Gold mate been picking them since mid June few pages back, the reds are always behind them. In the green house I have 3 Sun Gold, 1 Shirley F1 (red medium size) one Crimson Crush F1 supposed to be 100% blight resistant (red medium/large beefsteak) and one Mountain Magic another 100% blight resistant (red small). I can highly recommend both Crimson Crush F1 and Mountain Magic F1 can be grow outdoors, they no sign of early or late blight. Cheers Arry -
The other is this one. Still above ground at the moment and no plans on breaking cover Lol Cheers Arry

Garden update. Tom's and mini Cucumber coming on great now. Might just get a small feed of runners next week. Mini Munch F1 This Purple Sprouting Broccoli not supposed to harvest until August. It's dry as hell no moister in the ground. Cheers Arry -
In my younger days when you used to pitch the bales up with a eval (pitch fork) you would be in the fields to gone 11pm if the rain was coming in. These muppets that move in and kick off about the smell and the noise wan't to feck off back where they came from if they don't like it. The same twats that sign the petitions that get hunting banned and try to stop shooting and country pursuits, but think they have the right without permission to wander across fields leaving gate open or letting their dog chase stock. They have no idea how the countryside works. Cheers Arry
