I'm thinking of trying to get my shoulders to take the weight not my neck, if you get were I'm coming from. Cheers Arry

Lads have any you guys managed to alter the straps so they don't give your neck f**k. I've only recently changed to quick sets nets, and yea they are good. But when picking up especially if there is some sticks etc in the net it gives my neck some stick, mind I am getting on a bit. I have thought about a strap from the bottom of one corner of the basket through the neck strap and then back down too the other corner, just thinking on a quick release method. Cheers Arry

When I was about 14 I kept on and on that I wan't a dog, all my mates had Jack Russell's and Fox Terrier's. Then one day my father came back from the pub with a cross poodle with I think Skye Terrier which he had taken off a bloke that was hitting and kicking it, you wouldn't wan't to argue with my old man. To say I was gutted would be a massive under statement, I didn't wan't to know it. Father kept on to me about taking it out with the ferrets, for ages I wouldn't. Then one day I did start taking it out and hoped to god I would not be seen by my mates. Well this scruffy little cross took to

Tie a clove hitch on to the ring then a half hitch through each loop of the meshes then another clove hitch after the last mesh onto the ring. I think you have already solved you own question by the sounds of it mate. I would use the same twine as the net is made of. Cheers Arry

I'm right down in S.Devon FF as I said to the other lad few days back. I was offered some kits by a mate few weeks back who I've had ferrets off before, but before asking I'm guesting I'm too far away for you mate. Cheers Arry

That goes for me to Fred. Corbyn PM is a very frightening thought he would have Sub's without missiles Solders with out bullets just a flower stuck in the barrel of the guns planes without bombs. Hunting would go if he had his way. We would live in a bankrupt country. As for the Lying Lib - Anti Dem's say no more. Campaigned for a referendum then when they get the result go against the people and want to renege on it. Campaign to scrape tuition fees then get a bit of power jump into bed with the Torys and renege on that. Oh how we can trust them. Cheers Arry

It's a beautiful area were I live to be honest Flacko, hate to think how many time ether my mate or myself will stop and take in the surroundings and say something like "you can't buy that". At least I do appreciate it so many don't. As for getting on my bike, I agree. I do have other permissions but they are being knocked off one by one. It's going back to like when I was a youngster, two or three of us would go out all day for a brace. Over the years this got better and better as mixie got weaker and weaker till a peak about 5 years ago. Numbers have been dropping year on year. Ch

I can see the theory but would be imposable, so many holes in the middle of thick hedges as well as open ground burrows etc, thousands of them. With this farm and the one next door ( also one of my perms) which has RHD must be close to 1000 acres. Cheers Arry

I was saying the same thing myself about two years ago when the subject came up. It can live in the ground for 9 months I believe so if a rabbit enters the burrow where an infected one has been it all starts again. Already done the car will do all the net pegs as they have been stuck in the ground around the burrows, but you are right it's very contagious. The farmer has other ground that he will move cattle to from time to time, this sort of thing along with Foxes, Badgers ,bird of prey, dog walkers horses and green lane scramble bikes I believe all help spread this blood disease. I have other ground but I'm very fond of these steeps usually do them first in the season and woods while waiting for the hedges to lose their leafs and die back. Cheers Arry

No mate could do with one, had JR's for about 40 years and when the last one went it broke the wife heart and she is adamant no more dogs. The last one took home told her somebody dumped it and she fell in love with it, don't think it would work again. Lol. To be honest a good marking dog would be worth it's weight to me. Today was strange ferrets hanging around not acting right and burrows look okay, but think maybe fresh dead rabbits in ground. Had rain nearly all week last week though I was getting cabin fever, Lol. Was great to get out today but such a shame we have so many years rabb

Today down on the side of the river Dart it was beautiful, ferrets where in so took a couple of shots on my phone. No rabbits something is wrong, after a chat with the farmer RHD. He has seen dead rabbits just laid around. Gutted been doing this permission for over fifty years. Cheers Arry

Like you I get well pissed off if you get a meal in a restaurant and you know you could do better your self. On the other hand there is a Pub that I go to for an evening meal when I can't be assed to cook that servers up good Pug grub with good ale and friendly banter. Some so called restaurants I've tried should not even be in business. I'm not one for tiny tarted up twee stuff, I much prefer something wholesome were you don't go home and want a sandwich afterwards. Got say that place look the biz. Cheers Arry

Smart looking knife mate, well impressed. Cheers Arry

I have them in my garden, I put left over ferret food I a bowl under the ferret hutch and all through the summer months they come ever night. Also cut little hole in my gate and the sole board of my fence so they can travel. I put some photos up think it was last year when two were squabbling up the top of my garden, what weird din they were making. Used to see them in the fields years ago when out lamping but not now think the Badgers take them out, too many of them about here. Cheers Arry

Very contagious and very sad. I read somewhere that one hair could be enough to spread it, also lives in the ground for nine months. So if a rabbit goes into a burrow that a RHD that rabbit used, it will die and the nine months will start again. I think it was spread around here in places by horses and green laning bikes using the green lanes. Cheers Arry
