  2. You never let her down mate, in fact you done the very best for her. Try and keep your chin up mate, try and be the person she would want you to be. Cheers Arry
  3. Think it may be a "King Trumpet Mushroom"/ "The King OysterMushroom" mate, never seen one wild myself. I have seen them for sale as a commercial type. Don't go eating it unless you are sure. I'm unfamiliar with "The king Trumpet Mushroom" / The King OysterMushroom"and there might be something similar that's not good. You could send your pictures to this guy, he will get back to you and might be interested. https://www.wildfooduk.com/contact-us/ Cheers Arry

  10. The Yellow Stainer. I have put photos of these up before, but see how close they are to the Field Mushrooms and Horse Mushrooms. If scratched around the outside of the cap or at the base of the stalk they go bright yellow. BUT yellow fadeaway after a while. They smell like Indian ink or chemical like. Cheers Arry Cheers Arry
  11. Do they smell of mushrooms, almonds or aniseed if they do then they are probably edible mushrooms, I say probably because seeing a picture is not the same as handling them myself. The main thing there is no yellowing on the Cap or on the stalk. The Yellow stainer is the one that gets confused with the Field Mushroom and the Horse Mushroom mate. They smell of Indian ink or of Chemicals Cheers Arry
  12. Glad she's back. IMO you didn't give up you kept going back and the reward was getting her back. I Know a lot of guys don't agree, but a 16' dig is a dangerous dig if you have no groundwork experience. Atb Cheers Arry

I was made very welcome and never heard any body bad mouthing anybody. we all got on great guns. The lads that came are to a man IMO great guys to a man. Does not mater if you can not fish people will help. It's the social week end and a bloody good one. You would not have half the shit on the site if you had actually met the guys you are talking to on line. Christ we certainly have a few beers Lol. Cheers Arry
  19. Just keep going back mate, all around the area. If she kill and she has lost her collar she will probably stay in that burrow. My lad got a lost one back two weeks after a friend lost his ferret, it was still in the same burrow. My lad ran our ferrets through the burrow and came back and said no luck, just said our ferrets just kept chittering. I told him to get back there as that ferret is still in there that's why they are chittering. Came back with his friends ferret. Good luck and don't give up. Cheers Arry
  20. Got to say I was heartened the other week on here when every body seemed to rally around and help support "iworkwhippets". Again when I became a Granddad and just wanted to tell anybody the world, the congratulations were over whelming. But would be a lot nicer if it didn't get so personal with the slagging. I'm sure if we were in a pub most of us would get on. Cheers Arry
  21. Have a look at posts in the thread "Calibrating Mk1 Ferret Finder" at the top of Ferret and Ferreting page mate. Cheers Arry
  22. Leave your carrying box at the nearest hole with the lid propped open about half way. Bait a mink/squirrel trap there as well covered with a sack. Before finders we would not know how deep or were they were, but often got them back even over a week latter. Good luck with it mate. Cheers Arry
  23. Thought the same thing today. Ferreting a horse paddock ever Field mushroom just kicked over and broken, I don't know why they do it but the seem to target them Lol. Cheers Arry
