  1. Well the Red Indians used to use gaming pieces of similar shape but a bit bigger. Looks like it's been in the ground a long time all the little scratches when magnified. I'm thinking along the lines of Stone Age. Cheers Arry

There are also of this type, one of very hard black stone (not identified) from Red River county, Texas, three-fourths of an inch in diameter; one of barite from Bartow county, Georgia, one inch in diameter, three-fourths inch thick; and one of granite, from Chester county, South Carolina, an inch in diameter. There are also one of quartzite from Drew county, Arkansas, with a shallow pit on each side; one of the same material from southeastern Tennessee, with a deep pit gouged in smaller side; and from the same locality, three of quartzite, one of quartz,
  3. Turning over a bit of ground today in the garden. Thought it was a coin at first or a button bt no hole and its seems to be made of stone. Nearest thing I found of the net is Red Indian gaming discoidal's. Cheers Arry

  15. Thanks Mate it's okay will keep me busy on them wet days Lol. I've a hunch that that bottom right quarter is Blount and Ayala. The two wolfs of Ayala and if you look under the wolfs there are what looks like ripple or waves which could be Blount's coat of arms. Cheers Arry
  16. No idea really mate bit bamboozled. Every now and again I have a little go at researching it, seem to get a little clue here and there but can never seem to tie it together. It's all very interesting though was hoping somebody like you D might know. Lol. I know the bloke the originally owned the old building got lots of stuff from Churches and I just presumed it came from one of them. Cheers Arry
  17. Just can't link any thing together on it. Got it out of the cupboard again the other day when it was pissed down for a few days and got right sucked in researching. The only English crest I can find with the two wolfs in it is Walter Blount that married Sancha de Ayala in 1374. Also Sir John Dudley who is a descendent of Blount. Doing my head in now Lol. Cheers Arry
