Yeah roughy double it mate. you might want to experiment with the lower depths. I have seen people write with permanent marker on the back of the box. Or you could get a new sticker for the thumb wheel off Ebay mate. Cheers Arry

I use the little roughneck if I'm solo or easy digging and the Tree shovel if its hedges hard ground and roots, it has a bit weight for cutting through roots. Cheers Arry

I only use 15' collars handy for thick hedges 8' just would not cut the mustard. Trouble is 15' ferret collars are like rocking horse shit very few being sold and you cant blame lads for hanging on to them. I gave two of them 15' terrier collars to a lad not far from you, way too big for my ferrets. I must say looking at the build quality of them repo boxes just from pictures they do look better than Deben's Mk1's. Like you said Sean "two batteries which double the power" to give the 15' distance. Cheers Arry

Think you will probably find the new repro Mk1 will pick a 15 foot collar up at 15 foot. The only difference between the old 8 foot Mk1 and the 15 foot Mk1 is the sticker on the thumb wheel and you can buy the stickers on the bay. It's the collars that are different not the boxes. Nobody seems to be making new 15 foot collars that the problem. Cheers Arry

I think it was called Distemper paint like a lime wash if you lent against it it came of on your clothes like chalk. Bloody stuff never saw the point in it was rubbish stuff. Was in the out side loo and the larder. Thats another thing we had no fridge just a larder and big concrete slab self and damp as f**k. Cheers Arry

Breaks my heart reading about these b*****ds and the other little lad the other day. Life don't seem fare my lad struggled for nearly ten year to have a little girl only to lose her at 16 months too a very very rare disease. If they don't want a little child why don't they give them up there are people that would that them in a heart beat and love them. People like that scum are just a waste of oxygen. Arry -

I remember my father at 60 could not walk up the hill from my house to his 300 yard and not really that steep. Smoked all his life but they didn't know for most of his life they was never told it would harm them or worse kill them. It f****d his health had strokes al sorts and all down to the baccy. Brother in law just had an operation for cancer had deep vein thrombosis, veins on his leg look like road maps. Smoked all his life just given up and on Chemo. Cheers Arry

Nothing has changed mate it was like that when I was young and had kids never had two half penny to rub together. Worked hard and harvesting game to help saved and still got in trouble after the first recession had to take a loan out that was a mill stone around my neck. Hate to say it but it's the kids that keep you poor and still helping my son out now from time to time. Would I change anything if I had my time again? No of course not it was a struggle at times but some of my best memories were we the kids were small. What I would say is plan for when you are old now though. Cheer
