    Number 17 from my garden. Bloody things trash the feeders. Hung the bird feeders on foot long wires thats f****d them up. Watch one for ages few days ago it could not figure how to get to them. Started to feed under the feeders on the waste so set cage traps again. Thought was just an odd one but this is two in three days. Can't understand where they are all coming from unless they are moving in from fields about half a mile away. Hardly any acorns this year and not that many Hazel nuts so maybe hunger is forcing them in, they seem fat enough though. Iv'e never known so many as this year

    Thats what I was trying to get across we all used to fit in mainly. The farmers I'm talking about were hunting people who I've known all my life and the father who have past on. Would let me ferret walk around with the gun if I wanted knock over a pheasant or two a ducks or a goose. The people that own the big shoot are my friends too but I see it getting strained these days by no give and take no you scratch my back I'll scratch yours. The hunting farmers are getting fed up there sport has been taken away and the birds are becoming a problem. I can see them now starting to let the farm hands

    Wouldn't say shooting men are against the hunt but I wound say they don't care a less about it. The places I follow the hunt are where I Ferret and Forage and the farmers give me the nod when they are going to meet. In the last few years the keepers of the shoots have taken all the Foxes out. You don't even smell one now. The farmers are right pissed not just because they're hunting is totally f**k but they are over run with over stocked Pheasants hammering their kale and swede crops.     I guess you have heard of peeler crabs Wilf a very big bait for sea anglers. When I was keen I had 500 crab pots for peeling shore crab just bits of gutter ridge tiles stuck in the mud a 45%. What if they then ban all live baits no worm, no maggots, no sand eels. They keep chipping at the edges till it's all gone same as hunting with dogs no packs then no dogs taking any game. Cheers Arry

    I posted words very similar some time ago on similar thread. Back when they were debating the ban on hunting I was a very keen sea angler on club committees and Wyvern committee thats south west division of the NFSA. I proposed that anglers support hunting quoting "together we stand divided we fall" of course I just got ridiculed. At the time I forecast we would all get picked off one by one and it's happening. Shooting and Angling will be the last standing imo but they will make it harder and hard more and more restriction on lead what you can and can't shoot etc etc. Think in the end An

    Used stay with my Gran sometimes she had an outside loo round the back up some steps right up the top of the garden and that was a fare old slope. It was not like the toilet bowl we have now it was like a stone bench with a square of wood in the middle with a hole the shape they are now. But it was just like funnel with a little hole us kids didn't like it. Bloody great spiders in there door was 4 inches short top and bottom draughty as f**k with that tracing paper stuff if you were lucky if not it was squares of new paper threaded on that old hairy Woolworths string.     They are not salty at all mate. I just mix a bit of salad cream and lemon bit of black pepper in both the brown meat and the white. Butter two slices of bread ( I'm on the healthy stuff nowLol) spread some brown meat on both pieces of bread then load the white meat in a bit of salad stuff in if you like. Absolute heaven imo.     I love crab mate wanted some for Christmas week when you get fed up with all the festive stuff. Thats from a place that buys and sells wholesale mate. Trying to get the number of a lad I used to take fishing when he was a teenager with my lad. Just found out he got his own large crabber I'm sure he will sell me some if I meet him at the quay side.     Right mate the Cock will have big claws which will give a lot more white meat. I got 100 grams more out of the cock. If you turn the over there is a V shaped part called the purse the She cab has a big sort of rounded purse and the Cock has a smaller more V shaped one. Cock Crab. She Crab. Both together.     Two one kilo crabs one cock one she crab £15 mate from the harbour. Cock crabs are all ways full and she crabs have better brown meat imo.
