Felt for Keith after he lost his wife mate and he often gave me a bit of banter about my cooking. Although I have never met him I feel he's a good old countryman and would like to think he's okay. Cheers Arry

Was a real hot spot around there about 20 years ago mate sighting there almost weekly gone quiet just lately has been a few sighting now and again. Nearly always black ones here. Don't think they would go for it mate the areas massive I do believe there are Cats in this area still but not so many. That valley runs right up to the moor and ending not far from Dartmoor zoo which have Pumas and keeper have seen Big Cats on the out side of the cages. My belief is they travel these wooded valleys right up to the moor then down another one if you get my drift. If it gets hot again in this

Out for a mooch near a village called Loddiswell I never seen any big cats but could not help thinking out them as this was a real hot spot for a while back and still from time to time now. It's a large space owned by The Woodland Trust with great for dog walkers with some long rides in a heavy wooded valley. I have some permission near here and the Farmer has seen them and his daughter came within a few yards of one all black ones. Cheers Arry

I would call that a blood good ploughman's D, lovely with a cold pint of Cider. Nice one mate. Cheers Arry

They have thinned them right out around me and the Hedge Hogs are coming back in strength as they used to come right into the outskirts of town. Even had them turn out my compost bin. Keepers have taken all the Foxes out so no Hunting done on my perms now I'm missing that. Hares are on the increase down to the Badger cull. Rabbit burrows not being f****d up by them. People don't realise the damage they do. I like to see the odd one about but like other lads said too many when you see seven or eight in one field at night. Might try a bit of night long netting again instead of worrying

So, Tell Us, What Are Ye All At In The Veg Garden?
Arry replied to JohnGalway's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
I don't grow Courgettes any more as I'm not that fond of them and as Jok says they can go mad and take up a lot of ground. Big tubs are better as the plant has more to draw on. In your third picture I think you have a Pepper or Chili that would probably do better by it's self. I've never grown French or Runners in pots so not sure what results will be but imo bigger pots would be better. Having said that you might damage the Courgettes trying to repot so you will have to weigh that up mate. Good on you for having a go you will not believe how good you veg will taste against bought. -

Think you have French Beans in the First photo imo Gaza. The second picture French/Runner Bean in the fore ground with a Tomato behind. The third picture I would say you might have a Chilly or Pepper plant next to the Courgette which would probably do better in it's own pot mate. Tomato's in the last picture myself would grow in a pot at least the size of a builders bucket and feed with tomato feed and soon as you see small tomato's forming. Hope this is some help.
