  1. Even the Silver Oxide batteries drop of quick at the end of there life but they last for ages, I usually test mine to see if there still near 1.5v. The only trouble I have had is from the cheap cards of batteries off eBay to be honest I've had them fail on the day I put them in. They also leak a little and corrode the copper pin in the centre of the collar which goes black, doesn't seen to happen with the better batteries. Cheers Arry
  2. Good luck mate and speedy recovery. Cheers Arry
  3. They love ping-pong balls don't they mate watched today as they chased one around the run. Cheers Arry
  4. I notice and I have before it say DO NOT USE ZINC AIR BATTERIES. Does anybody know why?? I know Renata Silver Oxide has the most reliable Voltage could be that but Zinc Air has the largest 310 mAh so you would think it would last the longest. Cheers Arry
  5. BBQ Lamb kebabs in wraps. Think I over filled them hard to wrap Cheers Arry
  6. This is two Kits and their Mother loving putting their heads under the water. Splashing around getting soaking wet getting excited. Never had ferrets that like the water so much I have only had the Kits about a month and my mate said would I like the Mother only had her about a week. My five year old one won't even get her feet wet. Cheers Arry
  7. Well as said in my post I use Renata set last me all season most years as long as you unscrew the cap when you get home. I know few lads use Ryovac with the same results. Cheers Arry
  8. Picked 2lb 8oz of Tomato's this morning thought I would do some soup. And a some to freeze. Cheers Arry

    Rain

Gets me a month with out rain and the Water authority's start putting hose pipe bans on. Since privatising the Water in 1989 just one reservoir has been built and that on was started in 1979 at Carsington. So in over 30 year not one reservoir they just extract from rivers just what needed when the rivers are low. Take the profits but don't build any storage mental. Cheers Arry
  10. Theres this site selling new Mk1 mate. Log into Facebook WWW.(!64.56:886 Log into Facebook to start sharing and connecting with your friends, family, and people you know. Cheers Arry
  11. Is it a 15 foot collar ?? I us Renata 393 in my 15 foot collars which I think ia equivalent to A5. I don't use cheap eBay ones any more I had two ferrets in ground and the batteries died (new that day) had to use a third ferret to locate them. There are I think some different types of mk1 8 foot collars. Micro which I think I'm right in saying takes 393 or equivalent A5 An 8 foot collar that has the coax TV cable cap which takes a bigger battery 357 equivalent AG13. Cheers Arry
  12. Cottage pie with Hot Pot topping. Cheers Arry
  13. Pan Fried Mackerel with my new Potato's, Rainbow Carrots and Runners. Cheers Arry
  14. Thats a great buy Ross but if it was me I would change them wooden catches for "Hasp and Staple's" mate. If one of the wooden catches dries out and drops the escape artist's will be gone. With Hasp and Staples you can put some locks on if needed. Cheers Arry
  15. Same as us mate but the ones in the harbour are far more aggressive and rip the fish off, that one seems happy just to beg. I don't think it makes much difference if they're about you can still catch fish. It has made a difference to what you can catch long term though imo. On that beach years ago flat fish would be coming in numbers at dusk mostly Dabs with the odd Plaice but they are gone. It's affected what you can catch. Fish like Mackerel are still there and you can hook them now it's a matter of wether you can get them in at places like Brixham and Hopesnose. Cheers Arry
  16. Put some pictures up mate the Guys seem to love drooling over the grub pictures. Those Ribs are done in the Ninja air frier in foil for 30 mins at 190 then open the foil and paint with home made BBQ sauce then 5 minutes at 200 with the foil open a total cheat. Cheers Arry
  17. Guys I wasn't after sympathy I was making the point that I think it's time to let the lad go. Cheers Arry
  18. Some of you will I Lost one of my lads when he was 19 after a RTA. He was still alive but brain dead all wired up look okay but he was gone. We went though switching off the life support and waiting for him to die. You never get over it you just learn to live with it 20 years ago now but still hurts and haunts us remembering that 24 hour that it took after the switch is turned off. My heart goes out to his mother and father but in my heart they should let him go. Arry
  19. For the Lads that par boil chip before deep frying found a good hack to stop them falling apart. I use Maris Piper spud and take your eyes of them for a minute and you have potato soup. If you put 2 table spoons of white vinegar in 2 pints of water you can boil them for 10 minute and they stay good. Chunky Chips with BBQ baby spare ribs. BBQ rump with my own new spuds and runners. Cheers Arry
  20. I don't really hate them Aus it's just the numbers mate and how I have seen the affect over the years. Plaice and Dabs used to be common at dusk on the beach I fished last night rare now. Flounders on the river Dart used to be some good fishing in the winter now just about gone. Hardly surprising with more that 20 seals in the river, Salmond and Sea Trout taking a pasting. The Seal Sanctuary's rescuing these pups and releasing them has had a real detrimental affect imo. I can see why with them Spaniel eyes they do like charming. Cheers Arry
  21. Still there after dark right under our feet mate. Cheers Arry
  22. This twat begging for Mackerel or trying to steal one. Cheers Arry
