    Alexanders

Alexanders or Horse Parsley. I don't know if it's every where in the country but seems to ever where here now. When I was a kid we only saw it near the coast but it has spread inland and is in all the hedge rows and verges. Quite sort after by foragers but we used to call it stink weed as not a nice smell when flowering. 12. My first Cucumbers I sowed failed to germinate so tried this method. Put the seed in a wet tissue folded over and into a ziplock bag and then put in the airing cupboard. In just two days they had germinated with shoots about 20mm long. I then potted then carefully and less than a week I had Cucumber plants. Think this is the way to go with them from now on. This was two batches of three one day apart. Cheers Arry

  21. Found This think it was dried Marigold petals that my mate was on about. Cheers Arry "The commercial guys when they want a darker yolk, they use marigold petals, the powder from it. You can also use dehydrated alfalfa if you don’t want to go that route because you’re getting the dry foliage that still has the pigments in it," says Jacob. "So, typically a diet high in dehydrated alfalfa will give you darker yolks." You can also give your chickens treats that are high in xanthophyll, such as carrots, apricots, pumpkins, red cabbage, and the leaves of most green plants.
