  3. Theres a Sherman Tank in the car park at Slapton Sands that is now a memorial to the men that lost their lives in the practice for D day operation Tiger. The tank was recovered just off the beach where there is another memorial at the middle Slapton car park. This hole area was evacuated in the war and used as a practice for D day because it is similar to Normandy. Stopped by today because it 6th of June. My uncle was shot as he stormed the beach that day he was lucky in the fact that he survived. Cheers Arry
  4. If you leave some of the brash mate it will encourage good Fungi like Hedgehog mushrooms, Winter Chanterelle's, Chanterelles, Bay Boletes and Ceps. You're doing a cracking job. Atb. Cheers Arry

  14. Pink one in the hedge of the field I was detecting today. And this Red Hawthorn/Rose Hawthorn is in the Farmers Garden. Cheers Arry
  15. Think it's just been a really good year for Hawthorn. The White ones have been stunning around here just going over now but up on Dartmoor they are a bit later and look cracking. I have seen so lovely Pink ones and one almost Red in a garden that was absolutely covered in blossom. I think this year conditions have just suited them and the stand out more mate. Cheers Arry

  20. This is a female Black Bird the wife and I call White Throat because of her very pale chest. We have known her for three years since she was a fledgling, she's very tame even came in the front door last week and into the lounge. Cheers Arry
