I love it when I am staring at the dog and his staring at me in case the other one knows some thing I must admit i do miss a good day out with ferrets and one dog on the chalky warrens locally the sound of rabbit bumping around under ground nothing better on a good crisp morning. Looks a good trip fellers few rabbits to be had and nice to see the dogs working the walls.

Ive got myself a red led torch range wise is ok but to be honest its too narrow and i find it hard to spot stuff with. Id go for a good little halogen lamp and battery over anything led.

That montane stuff is good gear.

To be honest i think with engineering and materials these days you can pick up cheap enough guns that do the job ok.for my shooting for instance i use a sharp innova i dotn feel the need to change it and knovk plenty over same as some of the lads that use these new synthetic break barrels.

You dont need to spend loads mate just have a look for a secondhand rifle of your fancy in the freeads buy it and practice with it until your good then away you go. You dont need to spend silly money on wierauch air arms ect despite what some on here say ??

What was your old dog like ? Why would you ruin it if your first done ok for you ? Not nit picking genuinely interested.Best dog I ever had an probably ever will ,I don't think another could hold a candle to her an I would be worried about getting frustrated over it an blaming the dog, silly I know. Not my type of dog mate gotta be honest but i do like some of the mali or herder crosses for certai

As already said for the sake of about 30 quid youd have caught the bitch exactly when she was ready to stand.

Gaiters are a good idea ive got them same boots and dont look after them at all but there still going strong and i do some serious walking in them. For the money even if you get a season out of them its not bad really is it.

Dunno best thing to do is chuck them leds in the bin as there useless for anything other than maybe calling certain things in then using a proper lamp.

Anybody on here reccomend a good tie out or tether chain ? I seem to have lost my old good one wich was a decent heavy spike and the chain had good big clips. Its only for feeding times but i dont like the look of these shop bought cords.

just picked them up and went mate, but as I normally have one at the end of my walk anyway it would have been rude not to while I was there, I also consider it a little thank you to the landlord for letting me leave my tatty old truck in there carpark for hours and occasionally days while I,m out and about on my mooch,s in the surrounding area, and if that was,nt saintly enough of me I,m off down the road again in a minute to give a young lad a hot meal, I don't know his circumstances but he lives in a shitty little two man tent alongside a railway line near my house, we get quite a lot of for

Your doing well to still have the placcy bit on the end of tge laces for 3rd season boots thats normally first thing to go.

Had a blinding bit of sport down them ways myself last night ??

Arcticguns spot on aswell alot of peple with these gun licenses love them too much to ever risk getting in bother and from what ive heard locally police revoke these tickets over minor incidents these days.
-
Think phils got it spot on youll never stop places getting hit hard in certain areas no matter what you do. And i think these crackdowns by police make it worse it gives way to more recklessness/stupidity.
-
I believe the same even though i feed my dogs alot of meat and good biscuit i know of a bitch fed wagg and abit of chicken once a month if lucky and the odd pigs head the bitch is mustard not seen a dog keep up with her on the lamp at her game ever.

Its not just the hassle wont be long before some places are shot out and only pheasants and partridge bieng left. Bgd if you wish to talk to me properly drop me a pm. If not go away and watch some more youtube vids amd try to convince yourself you know about dogs ??
