C.green replied to 3dumb's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
You boys saying its got bull n wheaton so to be expected need to give your heads a shake its a lurcher ! Had bull greyhounds that had the odd kennel fight but were brand new out n about having fighters is no good to me i like bit of bushing n that and not worrying about a terrier getting broke apart over a kill -
Get the terriers on the muntjac thats some serious sport especially when you educate them abit.
-
Seen loads of them water deer die seen dogs that wont kill nothing else kill them but after christmas like ya say on abit of wet really opened my eyes toss up betwen them and real open ground fallow. Ive seen fallow put on a real good do when on that open and nowt for them to trip or bash against
-
Canary song is the worst imo
-
I sort of agree with wilf. Amd if i was offended what is shouting about it and putting pics up on insta or twitter going to do ? Think he says thesd things hoping to shock n offend abit
-
I think the best ones running wise at this time of year are them water deer. Went daylight and blanked but they wernt folding like ive seen them do in the past ive allways thought they were the easiest but apparently not.
-
Even this one was not slow slow like i reckon a terrier wouldve struggled in the open.

Nice bitch young thorn she going well
-
Something like that be ideal for kicking around with the catty bit of ferreting and that sort of thing wouldnt it. I see in nz they use russels russel cross whippets for boar but gotta say i dont think theyd do much boar wise over our side
-
Cheers mate tbh thats what ill end uo doing is just getting someone to make me one but i seen you can buy them for a quid each in us but postage just gived me the hump. i rate them little red bellman collars i dont think nowt can touch them in my eyes
-
I know theres loads but youll find alot of them wont fit properly. Did have some e collar straps that were perfect but even there hard to get hold of
-
Tt15 collar i use. Cant beat abit of biothane can ya
-
100% you allways get that one that tries cracking jokes or trying to be friendly sickly little pigs
-
If youve got thermal and its cold youll catch plenty with a landing net to be truthful ive picked loads up by hand.
-
Is there a uk supplier of these ? Ya know the little thin biothane bit. Preferably in black
-
That reminds me aswell folk that allways whinge about having nowt and wont let there children join in on stuff at school ect that costs anything yet allways got a fag in there mouth or scragching cards when you see them.
-
Mate im not on that facebook but i get sent some of the stuff on there it’s ridiculous stuff like transit van seen down so and so or man seen walking malnourished dog. Then all warriors on there saying what they wouldve done just does me. also what is it with everyone bieng a dog trainer of some sort these days ?
-
Them little community facebook pages where every little confrontation or infringement is platered on there is one thing i cant stand. And people that start on with there chopsiness wont leave it when giving the chance but whip there phone out as soon as it gets abit much for them

I used to own a very handy brindle dog that was coursing dog x collie lurcher but heavier on the coursing side. Dog was like a human i wouldnt slip on some of the places i ran that dog regular now. Sort of dog just tag along doing anything
