  3. Surprised they televised it , usaully if a footballer or racehorse goes down the camera pans away
  4. Just a shame how society is going my catapults airguns and knives I've got unless they show a keen interest when their older won't probably be passed down.

    Clearing out

Being a grandad is an open door for everyone to pile there old gear on your grandson I get so much stuff handed over for mine it’s mental lol
  7. We had an Italian foreign exchange student stay at our house when I was 17 he was 15, me and my brother are still good mates witg him now. We've been over to him in Bormio a few times, he is a ski instructor, taught all our kids to ski (and us lol)... he sent me this on Saturday morning He was one of the time keepers for the men's downhill.. said "you have skied on an olympic slope"... the downhill slope was in Bormio... they are mental the speed they hit going down there, we are obviously shit and its scary enough lol... my Italian mate broke his back in a bad fall skiing for Ital
  8. Thankyou very much sir .
  9. Saw that goal city scored at the end only for it too be disallowed were is the common sense in disallowing it and sending that lad off at that stage of the game fa need proper footballing people in who know and played the game
  10. I would just take the game back to how it use to be played regarding booking offside the all shebang and give the ref back that his decision is final get shut of var totally and maybe introduce something with having to have a couple of home grown players on the pitch or bench
  11. That’s nothing, I sat through a whole GAA game once and was on the edge of pulling my own eyes out for 70 minutes ! The most lethal thing is the boredom ! lol
  12. I'll take a look. I don't want anything for them. I'm away in Scotland this week so can't get back in the loft until next week but I'll look as soon as I get chance
  13. Be some nostalgia their mate for some of us of a certain age I remember buying it weekly from the early 70’s until the shooting news came out in the 80s. Always remembered a letter from a certain Peter Carne if my memory is right who was calling for lurchers to be banned or licensed due to them being used on deer and Brian Plummer to his credit savaging him in the letter replies.
  14. As age creeps up on me at an alarming rate I keep meaning to do the same. Just recently gave a load of my pike fishing gear to my grandson and I was joking to his dad when he came to pick it up it will be less stuff of mine to go through when I croak. It's the fairly large book collection on hunting related and nature i need to get my head around sorting out. The same day his dad took him pike fishing and he caught one on the tackle I gave him that was great to see the pic's he sent me.
  15. Missed that first time round - glad it was bumped, cracking work
  16. Got fiesta knave razzle and some special edition readers wives , all going back to when i was 13. Will post for free . Mostly in good condition apart from my favourites, quite a few pages stuck together.

  21. Nice couple a hours walk getting ready for Mick and wanger
  22. I took to watching the curling a few olympics ago. Good blend of skill and strategy, I think it’s actually a good watch.
  23. Reported for cultural appropriation ! Cheers.
  24. Fcuking state of the English girl BBC pundit after it happened…, sobbing her wee heart out. Btw, the drone footage gives a fantastic view point of the downhill event and gives a much better impression of the steepness of the course and speeds they’re travelling at. To be in with a shout of a medal you’ve got to be skiing right on the very edge, and that means close to wiping out the whole way down. Takes real guts and I take my hat off to them.
  25. Lovely looking dog, hope he gets a great home.
  26. I must have 8 or 9 rods that I haven’t had out for two, maybe three decades. I’m always looking for an upgrade, especially if I can get a bargain. Those rods will NEVER be used by me again, so why can’t I throw or give them away? Similar thread last year where I posted about getting rid of probably half the flies in my boxes. Flies I’d never use again. Maybe this will be the year I get rid of those old rods.., make a bit of space for new ones.
