I think autism is just noticed more. There's an industry of professionals who put labels on people. I've worked with many men who in hindsight were autistic. Generally they were damn good workers too. Many famous men throughout history would today be labelled autistic. Since brexit I've noticed more people in the service sector who would probably be labelled autistic. Maybe they were rejected for employment before brexit but because there is more of a Labour shortage now they are now being given a chance.
