  2. My garden 'was' overun with Mares Tail, tried just about everything, nothing really worked, bar snapping it off as soon as it comes through. Stunting it's growth. Absolute nightmare at first, but I eventually got on top of it, after a couple of years. The key is not to let it get you down, because it can do..! Just keep plucking it out, as soon as you see it.
  3. I don’t want a juice box mammy haha haha aftwr I showed me lads that they pished themselves laughing at the stoopid little Cnut haha haha

Most things can be put down to soil health/structure/geographic location and associated soils/climate……it’s wether you want to quick fix that means you have to forever use the quick fix that also happens to be very bad for you or the long fix that work with nature whilst at the same time nourishing you and the environment. It really is as simple as that in many cases.
  5. I watched it, howling !….id have gone out of my way to throw them through a f***ing window when I was a young man…..it’s a point of shame that these people exist.
  6. I've not actually watched it....just the bit I put up ...where he's interviewed by that parasite Piers Morgan...and Morgan storms off

There’s a brilliant book that may interest you mate called “Dirt to Soil” by Gabe Brown, it’s a real eye opener. Indeed a friend of mine who used to be on here has gone all over the world studying regenerative farming and now runs a successful consultancy on the subject…..weed killers are a big part of that whole subject because of the damage they do.
  8. Sat down in bed last night with the wife after flying home. Just put some nonsense on to watch and decided on the above jesus We had a giggle when the uk influencer HS said to two young girls “ see you later you German tarts” and a little bit of footage was shown later on of him and his three mates setting amongst a young lad on the piss . Ten years ago I’d have purposefully looked for a rise out of him with my two mates. What a f***ing shit show . i used to work with proper men, a little part of that “ stand your ground and swing “ mentality sticks with me, it’s not bragging
  9. Old boy I knew years ago bred and showed some of the best ebts in the country he told me years ago tripes 1 of the best meats to feed your dogs as it does put fat round the kidneys dunno how true this but Ive fed tripe for years at the moment mine are on a strict diet of veno
  10. I’m just going by my experience, I’ll spray weeds , when they die , I turn the ground over and plant, and usually have great results with my veg. Thing is, I spray the weeds leaves, not the soil. The weed killer is ingested by the leaves, much like foliar fertiliser spraying and taken to the roots. Of course there will be some over spray that goes on to the soil, but presumably not enough to worry about. Cheers.

Its the bit you can’t see on weed killers that does the damage, it’s harmful to all the microbes that make soil work properly…..hence why farmers have to keep using chemical fertiliser because the soil is all dead ! Also, a quick google on SBK (as I just did) will tell you not to replant for 6 weeks ! Each to their own like, I just wondered why ? I’ve read pretty extensively on the subject and I wouldn’t put a weed killer near my place and that’s just for grazing animals….its a pure disaster on every level mate. By the way, I’m not trying to start a row, as I say it

  13. Most commercial weed killer degrades quickly. It will kill existing weeds but not new weeds or new plants. I use a type that is safe after 6 hours as I have poultry and dogs on my allotments. Cheers.

SBK is recommended mate. ProGreen's Recommendations for Removing Horsetail | ProGreen WWW.PROGREEN.CO.UK Horsetail (mare’s tail) spreads fast and can be difficult to remove. Learn how to control it properly, reduce regrowth, and protect your land with ProGreen advice. Cheers Arry

Not trying to be a smart arse, but can I ask lads, why are you spraying weed killer on ground where you are growing your own food ? surely that completely defeats one of the main objects of growing your own food ?
  16. You're f***ing crackers mate. Cheers, D.
  17. A fresh sea dip last week and this morning, probably do about ten minutes is all..
  18. Last night's Sirloin. Cheers, D.
  19. I spray each shoot with weed killer as it pops up....that kills it but another one will pop up just as quick.....it's like playing whack a mole as it's clearly not killing the roots.

If you don't gets all the roots out they'll just regrow from where there broke into a new plant . And it's hard to get rid of with weed killer , you need to almost beet the plant to damage the stems before you weedkiller so it absords the weedkiller
  21. Just thought a serious post would make a change from wanking off dogs
