Whilst I agree with the gist of that mate, I think we also have to take into account that as the years have gone on it has become more recognised and as such more diagnosed. Looking at my boy he displays many traits I did as a kid or I look at my younger daughter and she is definitely on the spectrum in many ways, but when I was a kid and she was a kid it was just thought of as someone’s quirks and as long as you could function and get by nobody thought much of it, it’s when you can’t function at something everyone else is doing it presents a problem and that, along with better understand
