i thought hare coursing was banned in australia chart?

I don’t know, mate. Different states have different laws. I was lead to believe that organised, formal coursing under rules was banned in Victoria, but informal coursing, pest control etc was legal, the lads I hunted with certainly thought it was ok .

The Ozzie lads on here would be able to give you a better answer ?

Cheers.

The son in law is a coded welder I keep telling him and my daughter to give Canada a go it's the daughter who is holding them back due to two of the kids schooling and not a day goes past were she is not on the phone to her mother.

yes, I've heard this story so many times in my life bud, but these situations can't be pushed, it's a big step for some people to even think about let alone do....the only advice i could say is, for your daughters family to come over here for a holiday in a part that appeals to them and see what it could be like living here.....the world is so small now, a plane ride back, facetime/wattsapp for phone calls etc etc....i would say it's a lovely/safer life for young kids to grow up in, there's a lot of community spirit still here and everyone helps everyone which has been lost in the uk......let us know how it goes bud.....

My auntie went to Canada when she was 17, she's in her 70's now. She still calls the UK home but has only been back a handful of times in all those years. She says she lives with home sickness every single day and it gets worse the older she gets. I always think how sad it is that the country she's homesick for doesn't exist anymore.

the uk will always be home to me too bud, i don't think you really ever forget your roots and they do sit in the back of your mind where ever you are....i did have a bit of homesickness at first which is natural but it slowly wore off.....I'm really enjoying where i am at right now, i love Canada as a country and we have made a better life for ourselves now, i couldn't have what we've got here in Canada in the uk for the money we payed for what we have now.....

going back to your auntie mate.....i suppose its not for everyone she obviously had a strong tie to the uk....why did she stay for so long feeling that way, could she not of come back and been happy.....

ha ha good one mack.....the thing is that homesickness comes in waves at first but basically you get yourself settled in you then knuckle down at work and before you know it its like being back home as your doing the same work but in another country....then you start to explore the areas and hay presto the homesickness has long gone....but if i was having a lot of homesickness thoughts now i would be going back home......now I'm living here in Canada homesickness is a thing of the past.....

Best thing I did was come to Canada 11years ago, and similar to Tilly we have things here I could never have dreamed of having back in the uk. Anyone with a decent trade and half an ounce of work ethic can do very well over here, and although Trudeau is trying his best to f.uck it up for everyone, the freedoms and lifestyle compared to the uk is a no brainer for me. It can be tough the first couple of years but whatsapp/ facetime etc really helps. I have had a couple of friends who came over, and for whatever reasons went back to the uk, both now say they really regret going back. If you get the chance I would tell anyone to go for it, if it doesn't work out u can always go home!

Word. You won’t know unless you try.The guy I am working with here has an incredible lifestyle,at one point he even had a house with an elevator and I ain’t on about a Stannah stairlift or whatever they are called either. You have to grab what you can while you can, life passes quickly and it’s a waste of time having regrets or “I wish I had……” moments.

Married ,3 kids born over there. They owed a massive hotel and marina on some big lake over there for years. I wish I'd have gone and stayed for a while when I was younger, my brother and most of my cousin's did.

My dad lived over there for a few years in his early twenties. Worked on the Santa Fe railway I believe. Spent time living in the backwoods with some half Indians he had worked with. I have his old hunting license somewhere and a load of photos of the log cabin s etc. I grew up on his stories about how he lived with these Indians, of course every story he told me as a kid got better and better...... Had me believing he was half Apache at times and had fought at little bighorn ?
