I like a run on a hare in daylight but I’ll be honest my dogs have missed their fair share on the lamp, them coursing breds are sound for long runs in daylight but give them 8-10 at night a lot of them can’t hack the pace, I’ll get called a liar no doubt but just what I’ve seen

A good daytime dog would smash them  on lamp ! A daytime dog has to be fast but be clever with the gears

Hares are a lot harder in daytime no doubt about it but I’ve seen some tidy daytime dogs miss their share on the lamp, just way it goes it’s not all black and white

A lot of boys count ones they ain’t even run, kill 1 and it’s turned in to 3 by the time they get home

I remember a bloke bragging about killing 12/12......it later came out that it was over a two week period !

So would I mate, if I could kill the first hare I slipped on every day for 12 days I'd be a happy man, but this guy intimated it was one after the other on the same day !!!
