Well our first shoot of the year went well. It was cold but dry and a bit of sun appeared. Bag was 122 head comprising of 57 duck 56 pheasant 7 partridge and 2 pigeon. My own contribution wa

It’s been frosty the last couple of mornings, it’s very welcome , hopefully it will kill a few bugs . Unfortunately the Maize and cover crops don’t like it and they will soon be unviable as a drive .

Fair play . Looking forward to hearing how you get on with it . If I was in the market for a new digisight, I would definitely be looking at one of those . Mark Ripley has tested them on YouTube, but he was probably paid to use it and show it on his channel. He said if you are looking for a “no frills “ digisight, then he would recommend one .

I’ve had a go with the old one and I was very impressed with it, they don’t have range finder or record sound but I don’t want to hear it die and if I can see it I can hit it, I’ve ordered this as well, not sure if it will bring me any more gingers but it looks posh

Looks posh but can only call them in if they are there.......never had anything to do with ICOtec just Foxpro.

Very true, I’ve got an ICOtec gc500 at the minute and it’s worked well but they say the sound quality is far better on this one and what I get for the other will pay for half this one

You may laugh, but I remember getting a tape with various calls on it and playing them through something not too dissimilar to the picture , off the bonnet of the Landrover . As I remember it didn’t work as well as just squeaking by hand so we soon gave it up . I did think at the time that I was quite “cutting-edge “.??

Popped up to a sheep farm last night as the farmer had seen a fox . I placed out the caller and soon had a set of eyes appear 400yds away but it wouldn't come in just content to sit on the banking in the long grass. So off I set stalking in to it , got to around 120 yds and set up on the quad sticks . Hard to see in the long vegetation but managed to get a good shot off ?
