Mo Farah

Who said he was a hero? He's just a normal, decent bloke and an amazing athlete.

Is it really so strange to admire athletic ability?

How do you know he's a normal decent bloke.

Do you personally know him ?

It's how he's come across in everything I've seen and read of him so until I hear or see something that makes me think otherwise I'll class him as a normal decent bloke.

What makes you think he isn't?

Do you honestly think he will be himself in front of the

camera.

That's your problem what ever you read in the papers or someone says on tv.you take is as gospel.

That's why you hang off everything Corbin says.

For all we know he could be a wife beater.

I personally couldn't give a feck about him.

Why should I.i don't even know him.

And wouldn't want to know him.

Whatever his race, religion, colour etc, he is an excellent athelete.

Personally I dont watch it so it means nothing to me but I have a certain respect for anyone who is the best in their chosen profession.

I agreed with big gay dave earlier on the thread so I suppose any credibility I had has gone now anyway :D

Cheers, D.

Anyone one that can earn enough to retire in their 30's without hurting anyone , stealing drug dealing etc has my admiration ... it's not like he took anyone's job , we didn't have a world class long distance runner at the time so he filled a need ?, come to that there is now a vacancy in the running job ..pays good if your a bit quick across the ground ..

Same here even the care workers working for a pittance in care homes I have more respect for than Mo .

Can I ask why?? I honestly see no malice or anything that would make me dislike him! Well other than being Muslim, but at least he isnt a jihad

TBH I do not dislike the man and I agree he is a role model to some young people I wish some of the other Somalians who have come to live in my area would take a leaf out of his book instead of being a fekin unwanted problem.

Early life and education[edit]

Farah was born on 23 March 1983 in Mogadishu, Somalia into a Habr Awal Isaaq family.[13][14] His full name is Mohamed Muktar Jama Farah.[15] He spent the early years of his childhood in Djibouti with his twin brother.[16] He moved to Britain at the age of eight to join his father, speaking barely a word of English.[16][17] His grandfather, Jama, was born in the British protectorate of Somaliland.[18] His father, Mukhtar Farah, is an IT consultant and a British citizen, who was born in London, England and grew up in Hounslow.[19][20][21]Mohamed's parents had met during a holiday.[21]

Farah attended Isleworth and Syon School, and Feltham Community College. His athletic talent was first identified by physical education teacher Alan Watkinson.[22] Farah's ambition was to become a car mechanic or play as a right winger for Arsenal football club.[23] He later joined the Borough of Hounslow Athletics Club in west London.[24][25]

Come back when you have an olympic medal......

Tell that Cnut to come back when he has fought for the country that sponsors him whilst he lives in America .......

Lol what does being in the army have to do with anything?? I'd say he is definitely fitter than your average pti anyway and would probably excel as a soldier given the correct training for the job

Excel as a soldier lol ... my pack used to weigh more than that f****r ......
