supergran.

I saw some of the supergran locations as a kid,it was filmed at beamish, tynemouth and whitley bay,i always kept an eye out for scunner campbell as a kid,and grannies flying on bikes. The local coppers used to look atbus walking around with our airguns out of the bags shooting starlings in the village for ferret food and just tell us to put them back in the sleeve, nowadays the media would descend upon us like a ton of bricks and make out as if it was a re-enactment of hungerford, times change and not always for the better.

A mate of mine was telling me about a time when he took a box of shotgun cartridges to school to swap for a ferret, the ferret moved in bag and scared some teacher and he ended up in headmasters office but still got to swap. Imagine if that happened now.

Born in 76, big 40 this year!!

Everything that's been mentioned is how we all grew up, our morning till night, nesting, ferreting, fishing, everywhere with my old whippet mongrel called Haglar, everyone on the estate has a shitty old motorbike and we'd go along the river bank on em, come off and broke my collar bone showing off to a couple of girls from school lol...

Finding porn mags behind every bush or stuck out of bins, then stashing them in your den, fighting with other kids over your dens..

Peg gun wars, with the rival estate ...

Hedge jumping, weren't allowed to touch the path home from youth club, had to jump all the hedges in every garden back to your house without being caught...

My brother wearing football boots all day everyday although he was shit at football, just clipping up the pavement in his studs

Penny for the guy, dressed my brother up one year, some bloke says that ain't a guy it's a kid dressed up l, I says no it ain't and started kicking my bro to prove it

Loads of good shit, just roamed and had fun

Born in '63, so the 80s was the time of my late teens mid 20s - and happy days they were, too !

Not a care in the world, do as you please and sod the consequences because I am young and invincible ! The world is mine for the taking ! Did I manage it ? Did I f***....but if I had my time again, I'd go back to then.

If memory serves, I paid 37p for my first pint, about 60p for 20 fags and petrol for my Yam Fizzer was 72p a gallon - no poxy litres back then ! I bought it brand new, with a years fully comp, a tank of petrol (2 star) and a matching full face helmet - for the princely sum of £412 and a few pence !

Happy days !
